RIOT Allowing Toxic Players to Grief. Positive Players Suspended.

Why I a quitting League of Legends forever.

I've had enough with RIOT and how they deal with trolls and toxic players in game.

This is what just happened to me and is from MY perspective.

Loaded up into a game as support...

I warded the enemy blue... Our jungler pinged and I stayed to help him take the enemy blue buff... We got ganked by 4 of them (it happens) and I went to lane with Varus...

Our Jungler proceeded to swear at me in all cap "FUCKING LEASH ME MORG"..... Yes, I told him to fuck off. Followed up by explaining, if he asked politely, I would come help but if he is going to swear at me I will simply swear at him back.... I did not instigate this, in fact, I even helped him by trying to steal enemy blue and this still wasn't good enough...

A few minutes later our ADC died and proceeded to blame me and rage (I lived so it must have been my fault), he also swore at me.....

A few minutes later our mid laner dies and starts swearing at me for not giving an MIA ping. I advised her that an MIA ping as a courtesy and she should be watching the map.... Well, this launched our mid laner into a toxic rant against me for the next 5 minutes straight.... I even advised everyone that 3 people have been raging at me in game so far and I had not instigated any of those comments.

I'm not going to lie, I went AFK. I am an adult and this is a game. I do not care to play with children who rage, swear and act toxic to their fellow players who are trying to help....

After a minute or two, I even offered to play the game as long as people were nice and simply did not swear at me.... Well, that lasted 5 seconds before our jungler decided to just act like a child and call me names immediately....

So, I did not play this game anymore. I FF and sat at the Nexus. I should not be forced to play with Jeuvenille children and it is my CHOICE to not play with them.

3 Players in this game provoked me, swore at me, blamed me and raged at me... 3 players were allowed to grief me... yet after game, they all reported me and riot has suspended my account.....

If Riot actually read the chat logs and punished the correct people who INSTIGATE and provoke their team mates, maybe this game would be in a better state.

Good luck Riot, you just lost a paying customer who has spend hundreds of dollars on this game and you have allowed 3 trolls to grief your paying players. Keep your Troll and trash players. I'm going to find another game.

My chat logs are available for you to review. I even stated in game they could report me but the chat logs don't lie. I was sure riot would read them and clearly see exactly who the trolls and toxic players were.... I am blown away this is what happened and the nice player got punished.

I'm sure the 3 toxic trolls all got a note letting them know their bullshit worked and their trolling behavior was rewarded with me being suspended! Good job Riot! You are actively promoting toxic play in game.

No, they're not. You never provided them.

Yes, I told him to fuck off

If you responded to the others like this, I'm not surprised you were punished. Riot's stance has always been that retaliation is not acceptable and is punishable. Riot doesn't care who started it, all parties involved in being toxic are at fault. If others are being rude and toxic towards you first, that doesn't mean you can be rude and toxic back at them without any consequences. The proper response in this case would be to mute them and continue on playing the game.

Now, as far as punishments are concerned, they are generally given out to those who exhibit toxic behavior on a consistent basis. This allows for the occasional "bad day" the Riot knows humans are prone to have. If a player isn't toxic very frequently, then it's likely that they won't be punished when they are for a single game. With this in mind, you were punished most likely because you have a history of behaving like this, but if the other players weren't punished, it's likely because they don't behave like this as often as you do.

What a baby...if you cant take words from children, how do you survive real life? You need to grow a pair. Your just as toxic when you afk and not help team cuz they cursed you out. I would rather you not play lol cuz we need less people like you playing this game.

So let me get this straight: You started punishing him via gameplay. You escalated this from the already punishable plane of chat based toxicity, to gameplay based toxicity.

I'm not going to lie, I went AFK

And then decided to punish every person in your game by afking; yet another form of gameplay based toxicity.

Look, I dislike flamers as much as you, but by the commonly used definition you were griefing. They were flaming, you were griefing. And out of the two, what you did is typically considered the worse thing. I'm used to people arguing that you should be allowed to retaliate without the fear of punishment. To that I'd typically explain that it allows situations to escalate further.

But in your case it seems trivial to point that out, since you actively escalated the situation from a problem you can at least mitigate by muting, to one that cannot be salvaged even remotely.

It doesn't help that you point out that there were three "trolls" in your game. Apart from this again being a term that would apply more to you than to the other people in your game, that means you completely ruined the game of a fifth person for no other reason but because you had too much pride to utilize the mute button.

So, to summarize: You retaliated (already punishable under Riot's rules). Your response was disproportinate. Your response harmed an innocent bystander.

How exactly are you a "nice player"? I mean, screw the chatlogs that you are not sharing. Your own story already makes it look like a very well deserved ban.

I am not a follower or toxic like these people in the comments as I am on your side 100% something needs to be done I been on league for 5yrs and after I stop putting money in the game league has allowed players to lie and abuse their reports on me as I proved to be right and got unbanned. but idc no more because it should not have happened in the first place. this community is very toxic and sick bro and I wish the best of luck to you man. There are much better games out there and league fame time is coming to a end soon because of this mark my works (PUBG, Fortnite, Mobile legends, vainglory, and other games where people help eachother more then abuse each other. truth hurts doesn't it toxic ones.
