So I was just playing some league of legends and yes I flamed at my teams for 3 games in a row and I logged off because I was tilted and I come back and what I get was a perma ban. What? Are you kidding me? I just flamed for 3 games this whole season and they instantly give me a perma ban! Rito, please fix this.

Usually there is some ambiguity there Like yeah, it may be bad but is it really deserving of a perma ban or more because you have just been warned for little but slightly negative things too many times? Or maybe would be ok around friends or a mature audience but not necessarily to online strangers. But that? They should use your chat logs as a clear cut example in the future on how not to behave. I don't think anyone could defend that.

That is definitely permanent ban material. You are usually given lower tier of penalties before a permanent ban but if this was a straight perma, I would not be surprised at all.

It has been a long time since I have read something as toxic as that first game.

Riot doesn't need to fix anything w/ your ban; you need to fix your attitude.

its not just for 3 games. They can only send 3 games to you as example.

if you didn't know, there are 4 tiers of punishment;

  1. 10 Game chat restriction
  2. 25 Game chat restriction
  3. 14 day ban
  4. Permaban

An accumulation of offenses will get you punished. Everytime you get punished, you move up the tiers (extreme cases can skip tiers).

So with this new system, its lesser about "MY CHAT WAS SUPER OFFENSIVE!!!!", but more about "how often were you offensive". You've accumulated offenses (and were reported) enough times to work through the punishment tiers, and now the final punishment has arrived.

We don't want your current behavior in the community. If you wish, you can start a new account and be nice. Keep in mind that its easier to get banned again with bad behavior has Riot already has their eyes on you when you start a new account.

You totally, and fully deserved your permaban. You have no right to be a hyper-toxic asshat, telling people to, or referencing that someone should hurt themselves in any way, and the fact that you were just overall a horribly negative and abrasive player. Learn how to be a decent human being, do a little growing up, and then come back and play. We'll welcome you back with open arms, I'm sure, once you've fixed your issues.

Looking at what you said and actually thinking that you don't deserve to be banned (especially after numerous warnings) tells riot right there that you don't deserve to have your ban lifted. Sorry to call you out specifically man, but it's people like you that really give the community a bad name. Flaming at people for having a poor game rather than ignoring the problem or at least giving some more positive and procreative feedback to help improve your teammates abilities is a shit move

I was just really salty and tilted because people in my ranked games were trying to purposely lose and I'm not sure if anyone would understand their purpose of playing the game. I am truly sorry for my actions though and I think that I can do much better if you just won't ban me. This account had lots of RP spent on it too.

Instead of that why don't riot introduce a system that gives you your behavior status report every week so people might actually reform because they can constantly overview their state(because people dont check emails often) and not get perma banned only to go make another account making low elo and beginner level player's lives a living hell and spreading more toxicity(feeding and etc).This gives them a bad experience and they might even stop playing because of such issues. I honestly think this is better.

Our systems take into account that everyone has a bad day from time to time. We generally don't penalize a player for a single offense but instead penalize players who exhibit a history of poor sportsmanship or something extreme that we must act on (ie hate speech).

We understand people can have a bad day. We think a 10-game chat restriction is a great way of telling players that their fellow summoners think their behavior is unacceptable, and the huge majority of players we give them to never see another punishment. When a player escalates through the entire schedule we need to ask whether that player will ever turn their behavior around or whether they are more apt to ruin games for others who are just looking to have fun.

We are always looking for a better player experience so I am certainly always open to hearing ideas that players have. Providing reform cards was on of those points of feedback that we recently implemented.

Hey Sir, i was recently banned to, sadly, i went to support asking why , they gave me a reply saying i was "Berating" teamates and being toxic, but i wasn't, they gave me 2 games instead of 3 and they said that it takes 1 game where you flame to get you perma banned, the game i flamed was bad, but the flame was very minimal, i actually muted then moved on because i was getting flamed, so i moved on and played at the end i was banned, can you look through the chat logs again? I just came off a 14 day ban because i had a feeding troll, i moved past it because i knew i did wrong by adding fuel to the fire, but this, this i feel like it was unjust, it's 3 games you flame and they gave me 2 and one of the games i didn't even flame, i was being flamed and i muted and moved on, once he started cooperating i unmuted and i tried to be a good person and help him, but they just gave me a reason such as "You berated teamates and spammed the chat" when i didn't even spam the chat or Berate teamates, can you look into this please, sorry for such a huge reply, Thanks!!!

I also didn't recieve ANY emails for my 14 day or my Perma ban, like i have recieved NO Emails!

Riot TanTram, it has been one month now and I've been really thinking about this problem and it really just stays in the back of my head and I can't forget about it because I had all my love and sincerity put into this account. I've started to play League of Legends on another account and started over and I've tried starting all over again and I've stopped my terrible habit of flaming at people and really tried to reform my language. I really wish that you could give this account back and I can guarantee you that this problem will never happen. Riot Tantram, I really love this game. Thank you.

I do appreciate the fact that you are improving, but a perma-ban cannot be reversed. We do not reverse pema-bans except in the case of system error.

Not even an LCS player. They do not get their accounts back. He was banned from competitive play AND his account was banned. When his competitive ban was lifted he had to level a new account.

I don't imagine that leveling a new account's particularly difficult for an LCS-caliber player. Honestly, it's probably only a mild inconvenience at best. He knows what to do, he can basically beat everybody pre-30 and get back to where he should be very quickly. He knows exactly what he's good at, what champs/runes he needs, and can get them easily. Then they can get tournament money again and unlocking anything becomes a non-issue.

The better you are at the game, the easier it is to get your footing back on a new account. Players who aren't that good are basically back to working with scraps on the long grind back to where they can actually experiment and find what works for them.

It is their fault, though, and I can concede to that. It's just that, even if a lesser-skilled player WANTS to reform and level a new account, and continue supporting Riot and your game, the mere idea of having to endure this entire grind a second time makes it not even feel worth it.

It's even worse when you can't queue with your friends due to you basically being a handicap to them on your new account. In my case, I've been putting myself under a considerable amount of stress trying to level by myself, after I'd already figured out that trying to play by myself is exactly WHY I got stressed to the point where I went off and got banned.

Sorry if that went off on a bit of a tangent. I guess I'm just wondering what sort of advice a Rioter would offer in this type of situation. The Rioter I talked with on one of my support tickets basically told me to "play with friends and earn hextech rewards". Except, like I said, my friends are level 30s and that just screws up the matchmaking something fierce, especially when pre-30 matchmaking is already somewhat imbalanced by the presence of smurfs.

You are thinking about just leveling. A pro might level faster because of skill but they will gain IP at roughly the same rate, maybe a little higher for a while. They still need to get all the champions / runes again. And any skins they want.

You gain IP faster by winning consistently. A less skilled players wins less consistently, so they get IP at a reduced rate.

Level doesn't even mean much. Hitting 30 just means you can play ranked. Big deal if you don't have the champ pool or runes to really play it well, though. This is less of an issue for a high-caliber player because they have the raw mechanical ability to play well, and can do so even at a handicap.

I was mostly past the grind for content before. I had friends and a job to help me get through it the first time. Now I have neither, and there's MORE junk I have to grind for than before. I want to reform and have fun again, I really do.

I don't know who or what I'm good at. I don't know who to get with IP, and I STILL need a bunch of runes. I don't even want to play the free rotation champs because if by chance I have a great game with one, I just get slapped in the face by the "you must own this champion to get rewards" message.

(Skins aren't even a problem for a pro player. Just get back into the tournament scene and get some prize money. Basically all your skin needs taken care of instantly.)

I think it should be difficult to make a new account once you've been permabanned. A person has to be absurdly oblivious and self-centered to get to that point, and they're probably not going to change. I sure as hell don't want to play with anyone who's been permabanned.

Skins aren't cheaper if you're a pro, and the money they earn from prizes isn't automatically less meaningful to them than your money is to you. They have to spend exactly as much money as you do on buying skins.

Although they might be able to flaunt their fame for gifts.

I feel for you and I understand what you mean, but Riot stance on that matter is that, if you really wanted to reform, you would have done that after the first few punishments, and you wouldn't go all the way to the perma-ban. I don't doubt your sincerity as an individual, but as a general rule, Riot reasoning has some merits too...

I actually tried to. My 'toxicity' was being caused by my own lack of confidence rather than any actual contempt for other players, though, so solving my problem wasn't as simple as "mute and report".

My 14-day and permanent bans were nearly 3 months apart. The problem there became that not only did I have to solve all my problems, I had to do so perfectly due to being on thin ice, and having no way of knowing how 'close' I was to either reform OR a ban. I actually didn't play too much in that time (relatively speaking) out of fear that I'd lose my account.

I'll leave it at that, though. This isn't my thread.

Not even that, after 6 months (?) of inactivity, accounts are given a temporary name and their former name is available again. I really hope DeathBurst will remain inactive for a few more months so I can get back my real nickname :p

I have an older brother named William Sohn - https://www.facebook.com/soh9901?fref=ts. We shared this account together even though he had another account and he can admit to you 100% that he is the one who have committed these chat bans. He can tell you that I don't deserve this ban but he does. He told me that he would fully give this account to me but he continued playing on it and he got a permanent ban on it. I was already disappointed when I heard that he got a 2 week suspension on this account but I never expected that it would go over that. I know his main account and just a last offer please, could you ban that account and not this one? I am asking for this offer because this account probably had more RP spent on it because I was playing on it and it's really valuable to me.

Account sharing is technically a bannable offense in itself, even though it's rarely enforced... But what logically follows, and what Riot has always been clear and strict about, is that unless you get hacked, you will be taken responsible for every action that happens on your account. If you gave your brother access to your account, you are responsible for the things he does and says.

No like he played league first and I just got the account after him cos he said he was going to stop playing.

Let's ignore for a second that account "trading" is just as much breaking the rules as sharing it... If you are the owner of the account, you are responsible for your brothers' actions while he was playing on your account. If he is the owner of the account, he is responsible for his actions while he was playing on his account. If you shared equally, the both of you are responsible for each others' actions while playing on your account.

The exact circumstances don't really matter. It was not unauthorized access, and whoever played on it, misbehaved to the extent where the account (not the player) was permanently banned. Whoever was "in charge" of the account should have taken better care of how the players that have access behave while using it. Or as a red in another thread phrased it:

{quoted} We ultimately hold an account responsible for the actions taken on it.
