Why can we not see our opponent's Ranked or Mastery Status?

As the title states, we only get to see just their honor status, yet honor system does nothing to show off to the opponent if all they do is trash talk you or ban-bait you or tell you that you're trash at the game or the champion you play.

I get told I "suck" at the game and that I "suck " at the champion even though it's my first time playing one and trying it out more. You know what happened? I looked the player up and they were Diamond II and I was a Gold V Ranked player being matched up against them.

Over the past seasons from S4 onwards, there has always been a class of elite individuals who highly think they are matched against other players their same ranking and think they suck, but have no clue how bad of a ranking they are.

Personally, if I was the person in diamond, and I see that person struggling against me, I would know that I'm a higher ranked player, I don't need to resort to trash talking or ban-baiting, I just let the opposing player lose.

If I knew the status of my opponent who is a way higher ELO, I wouldn't get so turnt up that I'm doing bad, because I KNOW the player is better than me and that I can just either improve, strategize, or learn from the experience.

Honestly, I really think player behavior would change if players can see someone else's Ranking in the loading screen on their matchup, perhaps there may be some positive outcomes in the lobby after the game ends and more sportsmanship-like behavior that I missed seeing prior years ago (Yes, I notice the toxicity has increased drastically and that's a big issue I'm not going to address in this thread).

So tell me players, what are your thoughts about a possible change in player behavior if we get to see our opponents Ranked or Mastery?

Seeing someone else's Ranking in the loading screen will most likely increase the amount of toxicity in-game. Toxic players are toxic when they have bad teammates, bad opponents, and other factors. Now, let's say you get in a game full of silvers and you are a bronze 4 player. If you perform badly, your team would use your rank as a way to further their negative behavior like saying "this trash bronzie is in my game" of course adding more curse words. Think about it, if toxic players were that considerate, they wouldn't be toxic to players that have bad games yet even when I have bad games and I feed, my team most likely flames me for it even when I say, "this is just a bad game for me sorry".

I feel like too many people would actually give up at the loading screen.

"Oh, a lvl 7 plat riven and I'm a lvl 3 silver swain. Gg"

Idk why it matters you can be bad at rank 7 Ranking just means you played that hero enough and got at least 6 s’s on them. Doesn’t mean your good as that champ

In addition if you play ranked you’ll know your opponents rank since it’ll be near yours or na.op.gg yourself during the loading screen Done outside already no real need for it to be incorporated would literally kill a few sites

So you don't get tilted when you inevitably get matched against someone that outranks you by several tiers.

We used to be able to see the Ranked borders but it was removed in order to help not causing people to get Tilted pre-game. If you're Bronze and happen to go into a game and see a Diamond border on the enemy team you might be like "Well this match is over."

So it's to reduce things like that from happening. We don't want people to give up just cause there is someone higher rank than they are, or higher mastery, ect. Some of those things don't often mean as much as people put into them. I've played in multiple games where there were almost nothing but diamond players on the enemy teams and have won.

We don't really need to see them anyway with all the sites and apps out there that can show us people ranks and what not.
