Why can we not see our opponent's Ranked or Mastery Status?
As the title states, we only get to see just their honor status, yet honor system does nothing to show off to the opponent if all they do is trash talk you or ban-bait you or tell you that you're trash at the game or the champion you play.
I get told I "suck" at the game and that I "suck " at the champion even though it's my first time playing one and trying it out more. You know what happened? I looked the player up and they were Diamond II and I was a Gold V Ranked player being matched up against them.
Over the past seasons from S4 onwards, there has always been a class of elite individuals who highly think they are matched against other players their same ranking and think they suck, but have no clue how bad of a ranking they are.
Personally, if I was the person in diamond, and I see that person struggling against me, I would know that I'm a higher ranked player, I don't need to resort to trash talking or ban-baiting, I just let the opposing player lose.
If I knew the status of my opponent who is a way higher ELO, I wouldn't get so turnt up that I'm doing bad, because I KNOW the player is better than me and that I can just either improve, strategize, or learn from the experience.
Honestly, I really think player behavior would change if players can see someone else's Ranking in the loading screen on their matchup, perhaps there may be some positive outcomes in the lobby after the game ends and more sportsmanship-like behavior that I missed seeing prior years ago (Yes, I notice the toxicity has increased drastically and that's a big issue I'm not going to address in this thread).
So tell me players, what are your thoughts about a possible change in player behavior if we get to see our opponents Ranked or Mastery?
