Is kms alright?

It is well documented that saying "kys" in chat is a quick and easy method to win yourself a 2 weeks vacation from playing league. but what about "kms"? it is still technically a death wish, is it punishable if someone decide to report you for saying it?

I would recommend avoiding it, as Riot does not take self harm jokes lately no matter who they're aimed at.

It would likely depend on your phrasing.

"Damn, I might as well kms whenever enemy Kat shows up in the lane" - Okay, if a bit negative and defeatist.

"If I was as bad as our Trundle I would probably kms" - Not okay.

There was an instance of someone getting banned because they were heavily insulting themselves in chat. Riot reversed the ban (though he was banned again later for insulting his team but that's a different story).

So although Riot has been known to reverse bans when you are just insulting only yourself, I wouldn't recommend it simply because it might trigger the system if it has a hard time understanding that the only person you were berating was yourself.

I recall seeing a person get punished for using it, I think the reason was that joking about self-harm is a no-go. Even if you aren't telling another player to harm themselves, joking about it is still a reminder to people who think about doing it.

At least that's my best guess.

I guess players saying "off yourself" or other variants is the new way to avoid the auto ban these days.
