Being forced to dodge champion select!

This has happened to me many times, and it just happened to me 2 minutes ago. It's time to complain, and I want to know what everyone else thinks.

I would start a ranked queue, accept the AFK check, then be in a champion select lobby. Then I pick my champion (this time I queued ADC and picked Jhin), wait for my ban/pick, check masteries/runes and summoners, and interact with my team in the chat.

At this point, I already spent about 5 minutes waiting to get into a game. Then I see my support has picked Teemo. I instinctively ban Teemo; the troll then picks Yi, and my other teammates ban Yi. When it was the troll's pick, he picked Heimerdinger.

The chat blows up, he picks Heimerdinger, and I am forced to dodge.

Since I had already dealt with trolls this week (being forced to dodge), instead of a 5 minute queue penalty for being forced to dodge, I got a 30 minute queue penalty. Its nuts. Feels like its pretty much saying, "Oh, you don't want to waste 20-45 minutes of your life on a trolled game? Well then we'll force you to wait 30 minutes for just dodging a queue!"

Ranked queue is something I take very seriously. I buy RP, I play the game for hours, I learn to play better, I teach others how to play better, and I get things like this in return. All because I want to play for the fun competitiveness of ranking up in league. I am not having fun anymore. I would much rather have the troll get a penalty.

Riot please fix this!

A few ideas that have been around forever that still haven't been added:

Adding a report button in champion select (non-abusable)
Implementing a player kick vote: 3 votes for gets troll kicked, after being kicked they get 5 minute queue penalty (solo queue)
Add a client screen capture.

What do you guys think? Anyone that has played for at least 3 months knows what this feels like.

If you dodge because you cant deal with people you deserve the Leaver ban tbh Grow some balls and play it

I actually think you are the troll for banning his champion originally selected. Teemo support is not optimal, but it isn't crazy off-meta either.

You are also playing in Bronze. Champions literally do not matter too much at all. Off-meta picks can win if they are good with the champion.

I use to jungle Nasus and win in high silver games without much of an issue.

The champion selected pretty much only begins to matter maybe in Platinum. Though I will say even in gold off-meta supports and ADCs do not work quite as well. You shouldn't ban anything that someone intends to play, it will just encourage a player to troll more.

I will sometimes ban an intended pick, but I will notify the person. Usually it is an OP champion and they are last or 4th people. I tell them it is unlikely they will get their champion and ask them to trade with first pick or play someone else. Most players understand this reasoning, but some do not and then they troll.

You are the troll. He picked the character he wanted to play and you trolled him in response. You don't want to play with him? fine. dodge. lose a measly 3lp for the chance to not have heimerdinger support on your team. Why are you complaining on the forums?

Your suggestion is pointless

Even if there was ability to report in champ select, reporting that guy you mentioned would do nothing. Everyone is allowed to pick any champion even on support role. So reporting someone who didnt break any rule is pointless.
Kick and penalize someone for not listening to dictators?
Again, pointless for your case. He didnt do anything wrong.

You're bronze V. Anything can work in bronze V. Honestly it was a dick move to consistently ban that guys champions, uncalled for.

can see now parties of 4 just trolling and kicking the lonesome 5th for the hell of it... and did u ever consider looking that guy up? maybe he mains teemo (which by the way isnt the worst supp pick anyway and can lead to 2v2 wins being the blind wins u the trade) if anything your the troll who banned his char... maybe he wasnt a troll before u fked him over... u see things soo hard from just ur side... u dont even stop to think hmm maybe i can cooperate with this teemo and win harder.. u deserve the 30 min timer for dodging u knew u were gonna get that... the dodge penalties are well known publicly and are no secrets... plus no one MADE you dodge... u chose to shoot ur own foot off.

Just to touch on why this isn't doable.

The report button in pre-game lobby would have zero impact on your issue. You would still be forced to dodge to avoid the donger support. All this does is infact add another method for reporting the same things you can do after the game. Remember, breaking the meta IS NOT REPORTABLE no matter how much you hate the donger support.
Adding a vote kick option is the dumbest thing that could be done in a ranked game. People would kick anyone they don't like for whatever reason. Check someones games on op.gg, see they lost the last 6 in a row, auto kick them cause bad. See where I'm going here? Not only that it also allows people to que dodge either without penalty or the kicked player loses 3 LP which is not only unfair it will cause riots over people getting kicked during their promos.
If you mean a way to record your games there are dozens of free recorders out there, I recommend OBS. Otherwise if you are talking about what happens in pre-game lobby you can just take screenshots, though I am not sure what good they do you.

There is no reason to believe someone who picks an off meta champ is going to troll and you cannot reasonably expect someone to get punished for trying to play the game to their style just because it doesn't match up with yours. Remember like I said you can't report someone for breaking the meta.

You will encounter games like these all the time. I certainly did in Bronze and Silver and still do in Gold but I find more often if you just remain positive and support and work with your teammates instead of /all "gg teemo support, open bot im afk" you would be surprised at how many of those games you actually win.

No joke, check my match history, I had a ranked match yesterday where the top and bot lanes swapped champs at the last second as a "joke" trade and couldnt trade back, both ended up playing champs and roles they weren't used to with the wrong runes and masteries. They laughed about it at game start and actually did fairly well, at one point we thought they would win.

Be more like those people and make the best out of a bad situation and watch how fast you climb ranks.

You're certainly entitled to ban any champ you want. He is just as entitled to pick any champ he wants instead of the one he originally indicated he would pick. You made the decision to dodge. You take the punishment. Why should he be punished or kicked or given any time penalty just because you don't like who he picks? He did absolutely nothing wrong.

NO MORE PLAYER KICK OPTIONS!. Its going to turn into a game where obnoxious little kids rage and whine while reporting people unfairly. Please riot, no more options to hurt players feelings and abuse report power!

As I mentioned earlier I been playing Singed support since Im feeling quite weird playing my main Thresh at the moment (Singed my 2nd most played champ)

I wonder how you would be if I picked my Singed support on your lobby
