People who Disconnect in ranked games

Cane anyone here explain to me what the punitive actions are towards someone who disconnected during a ranked game....Because as fare as I know, i haven't seen any be implemented upon anyone thus far. Its happened constantly in many of my ranked games as of late and haven't been able to climb because of it. (though like anyone that's not the whole reason, my gameplay could use a little tune up...but that's not the point of this post) All in all, the entire reason someone plays ranked is so that they can see how well they do against other players which in turn is ruined when people go afk or DC through the game.
