Trolling in champ select

This is what happened to me, I was in my promos, I was ready to win, but then, our bot laner got autofilled and REFUSED to go bot lane and banned our top laner's champion and went top. But OUR top laner refused to go bot lane too... If you're a troll like that in champ select, PLEASE, don't do it in ranked. It makes me really upset that this happened to me. It's really annoying and upsetting. Has this happened to any of you before in ranked champ select? Edit: I dodged btw.

I understand fully why you dodge, but at the end of the day if it's ranked. Take the risk, who knows they may actually still try to win + you can't report them if you dodge.

I've played some games where it looks just like that in champ select, but they turn out to play hard and we win. Will it suck to be in a trap game? Yes, but it's generally better only to dodge for LP/MMR saving not a promo.

Happens a lot though unfortunately regardless of elo.

It happens from time to time. I never bother to actually type in the chat when it happens, if I had been your toplaner I would have gone "fine, let's duo top then". If I had been the support I would have taken a champion that can farm safely under tower 1v2 and just played the game.

Being in promo or not doesnt matter. I just pick my champion, pretend nothing unusual is happening, 90% of the time the guy who said he was trolling is the one dodging.

The very rare times noone dodges and the guy actually trolls, I consider it's some "well spent" time given to help the community get rid of one of their most toxic players.

By the way it doesnt prevent me to actually learn and improve or have fun in the game, I just ignore the troll and try my best.

The only thing I never do is : negociate with terrorists. This guy wanted you to dodge, and you did it. Now everytime he's autofilled, he will do the same shit. Because you gave him what he wanted, you showed him he could do that. And because the game never actually happened, you can't even report him.

I agree, but also, why does riot still have autofill??? It's not fun being forced to play a role I didnt pick and if Im not gonna have fun then why am I gonna even play that match, I'll just dodge or screw around at that point cause god knows Im not gonna waste half an hour like that

Sorry you had to deal with that. I've had this in a normal, and it's frustrating to not be able to report them properly at the moment. If you luckily take a screenshot of their names, you could get some evidence to report them later but usually they leave right after a toxic comment... Please implement a reporting system pre-game in character select as well.

Yeah, people can be real babies about their video games. I just get sad that people like that exist lol. Roll eyes, move on. Its only a game. Oh well.

Yeah... in the end, never give in. Just play it out and make sure to report them with explicit details. Players like that need banned.
