Chat restricted but my account is temporarily banned without notification as to why?

My other friend had a 2 week ban for repeatedly poor behavior and he said he received notification as to why he was banned. I got a 10 game chat restriction and my account is temporarily banned, was this by mistake? If it was no accident, how long am I banned for? He said they gave him a 14 day ban. I was uninformed as to why and for how long I will be banned.
