Reformed

Hi, after seeing a thread saying that you "can't reform, it's impossible" i'd like to share my story with some of you.

I've played league for a few years, and only played on one account, meaning i spent quite a lot if my money on that one account. Some time last year i started taking league more seriously and i wanted to see how far in the ranked ladder i could climb. I let my competitive drive overrun my common sense and sportsmanship and became rather toxic in ranked. This eventually lead to me being banned permanently.

I was shocked at first, but blew it off and created another account. After playing on this account, and climbing higher than i'd ever been before in ranked, i got banned, again. I hadn't learned my lesson and got another account banned.

This time it really hit me, I was so toxic that my friends no longer wanted to play with me, i had 2 accounts banned forever and i was honestly considering quitting league.

I decided not to, I created a third account and told myself that i would reform. I hate to admit but i have had the 10 game chat restrict on this account, but since then I've tried to be nothing but positive. I look at the game in a new way and it's great. Top lane is 1/6? That's fine let's go help him, rather than before where i would rage and flame him.

I also took a 3 month break from my friends to get myself together and then i came back.

Long story short, it IS possible to reform, you just need to realize how to do it. Everyone's different

Thanks for reading, and good luck in your games :D

Fortunately I did not have to get a permanent suspension to reform. The punishments on this account are a two week ban and more leaver buster queues than I will ever admit to my friends. I still have the unfortunate habit of leaving games where I don't have the right runes, masteries, or summoner spells. But the toxicity has practically vanished from me, and I'm proud of that. I have tried to be the voice of reason with some of my more serious league playing friends and the other people I run into in my games.

Nothing makes me happier than to hear a tale of a young man conforming to the same basic morality we are all expected to adhere to as adults.

Well done lad
