New Player, 14 Day Banned

Hi like the title says I am a new player to LoL, I have been playing only a couple weeks.

I am a very competitive person so I enjoyed this game very much, but I found this game very hard to understand at first and I was doing very bad in a lot of my games. With that being said in every game I have atleast one person ommenting I'm bad and then arguing with me etc. just because they don't like how I play the game. I usually aint the tye of person to just ignore someone when they say something to me. But I got a chat restriction for some of the things I said with the aruguements and toxic players I played against. Ever since then I have been trying to do really good about not arguing or cursing or making threats etc. But I get on today to find I get banned for these two bad games.

Okay I admit some of it is kind of mean but I didn't say anything THAT bad or curse or making any threats like I see other people do in this game. For my first bann I get a whole 14 days for this? I feel like I just waisted the 50 bucks I JUST dropped into this game because I let some toxic kids get to me...

Edit: also the second game there was a huge troll all game talking trash to everybody and ruining the game turret diving. Both games was bad games and everyone was being an ass

Calling for reports is punishable. Do note that 9 reports on 1 person is no different than 1 person reporting, so technically, all you did here is asking more people to point fingers at him.

Do you understand why your ban was justified? Do you understand that most players are nice/ pleasant and we dont like tolerating trolls / flamers ?

I hope when you return to play you will type less and enjoy the game more. If you like typing so much why dont you try typing nice things in chat instead of degrading/ insulting others?

If not thats okay too, I believe the next punishment after a 14 day ban is a perma? But honestly, no joke, try playing dota. I think you'd fit right in with that community.

Looks like you enjoy arguing for the sake of arguing. Instead of playing League try joining a debate club. You'd probably have more fun arguing with others IRL (unless you only like to talk shit behind your computer screen).

The system works on an escalating scale. After the 25-game chat restriction, the next step is a 14-day ban. And after this, the next punishment will be a permanent account ban. Consider it a final warning (the notice will even have said this).

Whether you disagree with the system or not, if you want to continue playing on this account, you're going to need to take drastic measures at this point, considering how quickly you've made it from fresh account to a 14-day ban already. Instead of responding to people, you need to just mute them. Heck, you might even want to just do a /mute all at the start of every game so you won't see anything that'll even tempt you to respond.

I understand, I very much would like to play on this account still. But the two games I posted really warrants a 14 day ban? I was going out of my way the past 30-40 games to keep it clean and nice, and these two bad games where there was trolls and trash talkers I say something back I get banned? It isn't even that bad. Think about it this way. You've been a good citizen all your life. One day, you get drunk and make the decision to drive for whatever reason. You drive your car into the middle of someone's house/business/whatever.

You're still going to pay for the damages and possibly lose your car. It doesn't really matter how long you've been a good citizen till then.

It's not just these two games. What's given is a sample. There will have been more games of valid reports that brought you to this punishment. And it's not that the behavior shown here merits a 14-day ban. With the escalating system, the question is really "Was this behavior unsportsmanlike?" If the answer is yes (from these logs, it is), then the account will receive a punishment. How do they determine what the punishment is? They look at what tier you're at in the system. The order is:

10-game chat restriction
25-game chat restriction
14-day ban
Permanent ban

So having already received a 25-game restriction, the next punishment will be a 14-day ban.

Granted, exceptions do exist. If somebody's behavior is exceptionally bad, they can skip tiers in the system. On the other hand, if a player plays for a while and proves through their behavior that they've gotten better, you can work your way back down the tiers to where you've got basically a clean slate again.

As a recently reformed player, I'd like to point out the toxicity in your post.

Game 1

This is demoralizing to both your teammates and the enemy team. It won't promote any form of better play.

Game 2

: we guna lose with u ne ways

Riot is a bit more strict on what they call toxic, but you should just, in the nicest way possible, keep your mouth shut. Only chat about positive things or the required game knowledge, like "mid summs" or "mia"

Now, seeing as you're new, you might not know how to mute the Lux/Rengar, but you shouldn't try to respond to them. Just move on and silently report them. By responding, you're giving them a reason to report you out of spite. However, this does fall under a report considering your history of bad attitude (why you got the 14 day ban.)

this is probably why you got banned this quickly. the system is a lot harsher on sub 30 players and is less tolerant of "bad games" this is to discourage permabanned players from making new accounts, and to scare away future trolls

forgive me. i remember hearing a quote from a rioter awhile back that "new players" are treated more harshly by the instant feedback system and are punished more quickly then lvl 30 accounts and while they still go through the same number of "strikes" it takes fewer games with valid reports, and it's specifically to "contain" toxic smurfs .it may have changed since i last read that

I see what you're saying now, but I believe you took it out of context.

If you have only played 10 games, and are pretty toxic and reported in all of them, then what you said is not an inaccurate assumption. A player who has played 100 games and was toxic in every 10th one has a lower chance of being punished, but it's simply a factor of consistency and not a target on new players/accounts.
