Impossible to climb honor levels.

Like is this honor system designed for LCS players who play 13 hours a day? I've been playing consistently for like well over a month now and haven't even gotten a checkpoint, regardless of how much honor i get in games. Plus, people usually don't honor you for being friendly or whatever, they honor you for having the best score, if even that. Some people don't even honor, period, regardless of how well anyone does. I honor someone on my team just about every single game, save for the rare occasion where my entire team was tilted.

And I'm not even talking about getting higher honors, it'd be understandable why it would be harder the higher you go, but when you can't even come back from a punishment you received a million years ago, then it's going to obviously get pretty demoralizing to even try. Now I understand why people would rather keep being toxic, or resorting to subtle trolling/toxicity that doesn't get them punished, but still ruins games. Why bother trying to reform when the system is this harsh

sadly true tbh. i understand that the system is based on the entire season so you dont reach honor lv 5 within the first month of a new season, and i myself was at h1 once, the climbing is just REAAAAAALLY slow and a pain. you dont feel any satisfaction at all.

i myself play a lot right now due to not being able to work for a few months (had some heavy accident) and i usually get at least 1 honor each game, yet climbing just does not happen in my opinion.

also me english no gut.

its honestly impossible, I play a pretty decent amount a day and I still have 0 check points to honour level 3

Frankly, as fine as I am with the idea that you have to really be patient to earn back your honor, you shouldn't have to be FALSELY positive to the point where someone thinks you're roleplaying as a chatterbox Lux that sees no fault in anything and that the power of friendship will guide the team to beyond the stars!

If anything, that's tilting, both from a teammate's perspective of "I'm going to mute you because I don't want to listen to that 24/7" and from a personal standpoint of "I don't actually believe what I'm saying, but Riot rewards being a total yes-man so I'm going to wh**e myself out needlessly for the most paltry of rewards" which increases how much toxic, bitter feelings you're forced to bottle up and hope against hope you don't let spill out.

It took around 5 weeks for the most active honorable player to progress 1 checkpoint.

If you aren't an active saint, you better be prepare for the honor to progress to much at a much slower rate.

I'm Honor 3 with only ONE checkpoint! It's almost MID SEASON! Almost mid season and I'm not even checkpoint 2 for honor 3! This honor system is failing, because it only takes 1 game to ruin a person's day, but 1,000 games to get 2 honor checkpoints.

its not based on the amount of times you play its based on the average honors you get my alt account went way faster than this one with a portion of the games because i made an effort to get honored

well it took me around 6 months to get to honor lvl 1 so yeah thats REALLY annoying for a punishment that i have gotten about a half year ago. And im playing daily around 6-5 hours a day

I think they're just trying to make it more exclusive. Last season it feels like nearly everybody had honor 5 at the half-way point. Personally I'm at the last checkpoint before honor 4. I just try to be really nice to everyone and if I can make a really cool play that benefits a teammate, I try to be selfless as possible.

That's weird, I just unlocked Grey Warwick and my next honor chest will be medieval Twitch. I honestly thought the honor system seems a bit too easy.

I am supportive of my team, I compliment my team for a job well done, and I throw myself to the wolves to protect my allies, even if it costs me my S. Even if we lose and I have no kills and the most deaths on my team, a few kind words, a noble act, and a positive attitude can earn the adoration of your peers.

Riot is just really greedy they say climbing is made easier towards late season and wont even give the victiorious skin, there just becoming cheap and makling there game even worse to play its getting so stupid, sadly it is close to impossible for climbing in honors

I got my first checkpoint the other day :) I don't play too much but I do get alotta honours usually but I'm super chatty so I guess ppl like that

So right now I'm at honor lvl 4 and I play all around( I dont play 24/7 either) What I do is just be friendly, even to those who are being toxic. In most cases yes the honor goes to whoever did the best, but from what I've been seeing is that just complimenting the team on how everyone is doing and giving pointers on what the team needs to do next ends up giving me (most of the time) most honorable player every 4 games. And in between at least two honors each game. And whenever I play soraka supp, brand mid, and warwick jungle I get most honorable (if i played well enough, lead the team, and complimented everyone on the team on how well they are doing). I hope this helps. And I definitely understand how hard to climb the honor ladder but it is definitely possible if you put your 110% in every game you play.

I've just recently hit the second check point for honor level two headed toward level 3. To my understanding, for level two; it takes about 200-300 honors for the first check point, about 800 for the second checkpoint, and about 1500-2000 for the third check point. The honor system is NOT broken and in my opinion it seems pretty fair an balanced. The honor system is to encourage people to be better teammates towards each other. I've found games where my team has straight up lost, every lane got trashed but sometime I still receive an honor or even some honor credit towards my next check point. Per game a single player can earn up to 4 honors, which means that if you play consistently for an average of 6 hours a day you could earn up to 20 honors in a single day. As for being able to earn honor after a punishment. It doesn't seem that bad to me. I've stated in some of my other replies that I've had issues with DCing or Bugsplat, and been punished with Leaver Buster Queue blocker and LPQ, only for a 2-3 games after my final punishment has gone away I earn Honor again. I may be wrong but it seems the harsher the crime commited the harder it is for someone to earn honor. The point of my reply is that you shouldn't be asking Riot to rework the honor system simply because you deemed it unfair or hard to earn. You shouldn't be trying to earn honor, you earn it by naturally being a nice person>GG honor, a great leader>Shot Caller honor, or a Focused Player>Tilt Proof honor.

For me it seems fine, i have reached the last checkpoint until the next level last week. I reach a checkpoint about every 2 weeks.

Ive been playing LoL at a pretty consistent rate since October (the month were I was banned for 2 weeks). Im getting a ton more honors than ever before and am only honor level 1 first checkpoint.. :/ I mean I deserved the ban but it's just harsh how long it takes to get honorable again. I have yet to see my first honor lvl 4 ally/ opponent this season.

Riot doesnt award honor if you are in a party and your team mates honor you. it just doesnt count. If you play with your friends often and you get all the honor from them that equals zero progression honor.

Sure it looks nice to get the tick mark after the game, but it does nothing for you. also, that could have gone to the people not in your group and help them out.

Requesting response of gaming habits.

do you play with friends often?
when you honor people.. do you honor only your friends?

and when you read the FAQ.. they talk about you get honor for honoring your premade.. it means.. if all 5 members honor someone you get that little bit of extra honor. not that your honor actually did anything to the selected player.

I had a game where o was next to perfect and I didn't get honored. The only reason died was because I got executed by tower in a push because I thought I moved far enough but I didn't.

Honestly, I love the new system. I remember that I used make it my goal just to get honors, now I just focus on the game and having fun. It takes longer to get through the tiers but getting them makes the honors more special or worthwhile. I actually climbed pretty quickly (maybe a month or two) currently third level of tier 4. It's been really fun, hoping for highest tier by end of season.

you have to literally not type anything ever. Their discipline system is so flawed that it'll flag you as toxic for having friendly banter with the enemy laner or even joking around with your own team. Their AI cant factor in context and riot doesn't care.

Not typing is boring, so if you're like me and you enjoy conversation, good luck ever gaining honor thanks to rito swimming in cash and helping no one.
