So back in December I got 14 day ban (plz no flamerino). At the time I was honor 5. A couple weeks after I got unbanned I recieved a message after one of my games saying that I am on the right track and that if I keep if up I will level up my honor.
Three months and about a hundred games later, I am still Unhonorable, step 1 of 3
Is it really this hard to rank up your honor level now?
Well, given that you're on step 1/3, that is at least progress. It does take a large number of games to level up, and any poor behavior will set you back (or at a minimum slow you to a halt) in your progress. While we can't know for sure, it's likely the system is seeing some valid reports for you, and as such is slowing your honor progress. Keep in mind that even minor, not-punish-worthy toxicity may factor into the honor system - thus it's best to just avoid negativity altogether, and not be "only a little" negative.
From others that have gotten out, it'll take around 250 clean games or so to get out. If you were toxic (even mildly), it will drastically slow down your honor progression.
