Before you say "It was likely not just this game", that's not true because it was. I had just been unbanned today after a 14 day ban and only played 5 matches before this. I made a specific effort to not say anything negative to get myself banned again. In those games I was doing good and I said almost nothing in the chat only typing when necessary. In this game I did particularly bad, but was also dealing with a jungler who ran in to a tower and died 3 times in a row, and never ganked obviously. Literally all I did was say "report him". Sure i may have typed a bit too much about what was wrong with one of my team members and could have just focused on the game, but I was also getting blamed by another one of my team members constantly saying stuff like "this kid is so bad hes inting"(in reference to me, meanwhile there was someone ACTUALLY intentionally feeding on our team and no one was saying anything but me). I feel I handled the situation fairly well considering previously I might have flamed or made derogatory comments, I did none of those this time. I see no reason I should be punished for this and ESPECIALLY no reason I should be permanently banned for this. I mean basically the message I am getting from this is "You can be punished for anything with any hint of negativity, so unless you're positive all the time don't play the game".

The thing is I know what toxicity is, I have been toxic before. This was not toxic. I played a total of 6 games after my 14 day ban had expired before receiving this and would be more than happy to get a chat log of each of them if at all possible and post it here in addition. I have absolutely no idea why I was punished for this. It seems almost like it was an automatic ban of some sorts, literally 3 people say they are reporting me and whether or not it's based on a legitimate reason, less than two minutes later boom instantly given the message "You have been penalized for poor conduct, the client will now restart..."

I had just been unbanned today after a 14 day ban and only played 5 matches before this.

You had played only 5 matches since being given a very stern final warning that your behavior was unacceptable. Within only 5 matches of coming back from that ban, you returned to negative behavior such as:

To be quite honest, I kind of gave up trying to find good lines in the chat, as there's not much to pull out as good. I even was very liberal with removing slightly negative chat from the quote above and leaving only moderate to extremely negative chat - and it's still over half of the chat log. The majority of your chat is harassing your team for their playstyle, and/or for their performance, and almost none of the chat is actually relevant to the game. You repeatedly ask if they can see your chat, and to be quite honest if I were them I would've muted you early on in the game. As I said, you were given a final warning that your behavior was unacceptable, and then within 5 games of coming back you had this type of harassing, combative behavior repeat itself. Hence why you were issued a permanent ban - if you won't improve, Riot won't let you keep ruining games like this.

Please tell me what specific lines are toxic. I see nothing I said that's toxic. What you're basically telling me right now is "Anything that is taken the wrong way by someone else is toxic." The funniest part is I am tempted to say an even blunter retort but I won't because I know you will use that as evidence of me being toxic.

If the word "toxic" has application to a field of behavior or words being said as big and as broad as the one you have just described/placed me in then it truly has lost all meaning. I'm just saying if that's what is considered "toxicity" then ANYTHING is toxic. I said no insulting or derogatory words, and I did not put down anyone, I pretty much just commented negatively on another players behavior. So if this is toxic then I don't see how one can't make an argument for anything to be toxic, and just say "this seems negative to me" as the reason behind it.

You are constantly harassing your teammates for their play or behavior. It doesn't matter if they were intentionally feeding, playing bad, not listening to you, or anything else - you do not have the right to harass them constantly. For almost the entire game, you are harassing your teammates accusing them of intentionally feeding.

Literally your entire chat log is useless harassment of your teammates that has no place on the Rift when you're supposed to be cooperating with your teammates and building them up, not tearing them down for every mistake they make or poor behavior they have.

You are not the police, or the judge, or the jury in League. You do not get to determine if someone is intentionally feeding, and even if they are, you do not get to punish them. That is Riot's job and right, and theirs only. This type of "vigilante justice" is certainly negative and ruins games for other players who have to watch you harass and berate your team.

Look, it's simple.

If your teammates were actually trolling, you fed the trolls by using chat 100% negatively with them. This emboldens trolls, deteriorates the community, rewards players for ruining other players' games, AND sets yourself up for a punishment.

If your teammates WEREN'T actually trolling (ie. simply having a bad game), then you blatantly and baselessly harassed them. Five games after your final account warning, no less.

Either way, you grievously mismanaged your account, and here we are.

Chat is for strategy, celebration, and the occasional small talk. Using it to crusade against people, whether or not those people deserve it, is against the rules.

smite soraka and jayce running into tower without attacking something is not a "playstyle" it's trolling.

If all you say in a game is "omg pls stop inting" you will not be punished. If you spend the entire game harassing and verbally abusing someone who is intentionally feeding, then yes, you will be punished. It is not just about the person you directed the abuse at, it is about the 3 other players on your team who have to deal with your abusive chat.

They need to remove the player who inted and caused the whole issue in the first place... And Rito should be a lot more proactive on these fronts so that one person being unsportsmanlike and toxic doesn't start a domino effect that makes a whole team act that way toward each other all because one person wanted to troll like a dick.

It would be nice to have Tribunal back so I could go back to being a Justicar and handling cases all day for things like this. The dedicated Tribunal participants were very good at analyizing a complete situation fully.

Gonna guess this is something about how censoring stops ideas/free speech. The problem is, toxicity is never giving ideas, it's just attacking people. Hate speech isn't tolerated. Harassing others and threatening them is not tolerated. After your 14-day ban, you're on thin ice. Anything that can result in a chat ban will give you a perma ban. And if you think a perma ban means "change your ways" you'd be wrong. A perma ban is Riot telling you to stop playing League and don't come back.

That's not necessarily true.

Asking to report people in and of itself isn't punishable. If you use it as a jumping off point to harass and flame someone, then yes it gets added to the list of things that contribute to the punishment.

It seems you agree with me that chat is too restrictd right now.

I am asking for chat to be removed though. Partially serious, partially as a joke to show people how stupid they have become. I play other online games with no chat, limited chat emotes. It is boring and removes part of the fun of online games. But if we are throwing out punishments for any small argument, then we should just get rid of chat. Let people stay safe and suffer from a soulless game.

Seriously, just add like an 18+ optional feature to chat. Not saying spamming hate speech, but a little bit of debate is not bad.

It's pretty stupid.

But tbh, don't you think most players will be able to figure out an inting player is inting and be able to report them without you having to tell them to do so?

Some people might feel insulted that you felt a need to tell them that your teammate was clearly acting badly when it was likely very obvious.

For the most part even enemy teams can tell who is trolling and will likely report such a player in an attempt to help clean up the community... unless an annoying player keeps asking for reports and then maybe they don't out of spite. Which actually hurts all of us in the long run as the troll may be allowed to ruin more games.

It's a complicated scenario with a lot of convoluted aspects and much or most of the player base does not agree with an automated system unable to ascertain contextual information for a situation being the right way to handle things, but it doesn't change the fact that constructive teamwork oriented communication is about all the chat that needs to happen in game and that we all are pretty aware of what that should look like.
