Has anyone else noticed a sudden increase in AFKs, or am I just unlucky?

I'm not really here to complain about it or anything, just to ask if anyone else has noticed a pattern and I should just stop playing ranked or if it's a simple case of me having really shit luck. I've had more players AFK and DC in the past two or three days than I've had in a pretty long time. I've had three ranked matches in the past two days where someone on our team quits shortly after the start of the game and we have to sit there until at least fifteen/twenty minutes getting our asses handed to us. That's not counting the ragequits halfway through/the leavers on the enemy team. Obviously there's not much to be done about it, but has there actually been a spike in leavers that anyone else has noticed, or is it just a coincidence?

It is bad luck. I have had 16 games in a row where someone on my team went afk or never connected.

If I could go back in time, I would tell myself to take a break for a day minimum after 2 in a row.

Increase of toxicity. I think riot opened the floodgates and unbanned everyone. And then just left, turning off the report stuff.

Lemma tell you my opinion about this. This game is bad. Before you just skip it, lemma tell you how people see it. Getting rekt in lane, then you will lose because you wont be able to do anything to stop the snowballing. Than, people just go afk from the first minute of the game because this game IS FRUSTRATING.

I haven't really noticed anything but that's just me. I'm also playing norms not ranked so that could be part of the difference.

AFK bots does exist, a guy in China showed his dedicated 5 PC AFK squad before.

Nah, it is legitimately a huge increase. I had 8 consecutive games with at least 1 afk person and many with 2. Including a game with 2 afk, chatting to each other about eating a cookie. And yet.. they are not banned. Yay! Riot, Yay!

This is caused by a lot of things but mostly the sad state of the game on the whole is causing this. Riot's new version of League has promoted these types of players to exist.

I had a batch of them recently, but they all ended up being remakes. It was like 2-3 straight in a row.
