Does report button work?

I have reported many player, not for being a noob, but for flame. When someone kick me off top and then cry I am bad support, I report him for flaming me, calling me idi*t, uninstall lol and something like that. But I dont know if its even worth it to spend time writing a report, do I get an answer that player was reported or something like that?. In every game I play there is always a guy that ruin it and being full premade doesnt work everytime. I just want to report the flamers but its pretty annoying cause I dont know of they was reported or not. - omfg report thresh, no W - had cooldown :( - no1 cares - I wanted go top but garen instalock.... - I main garen, noob, bronze 5, uninstall lol - My classic game...

it works. You just don't get a notification unless your game was the one that punished someone, and not while it is building a case towards them.

Due to how it works right now, alot of people think the system isn't working. Riot is aware of this problem and will launch new behavioral features after the new client is up and running smoothly.

Yes it works, keep reporting. Also I don't recommend responding to people when they ask for your reports, you don't need to defend yourself in front of your team mates or in front of anyone since even if they report you it won't be legitimate and you won't be punished.

i have heard that the report button is just a placebo and just is in the game to make players feel better. the automated system punishes players who need it without any help from reports.
