so i was playing a game just earlier and i was getting flamed for having like 3 deaths from alot of ganks. i was asking jungle for help and he was being very sarcastic and a bit of a rude person blaming me. i got over it and as the game went on i kept getting flamed heavy, and i tried defending myself and i mightve cursed sometimes but i didnt ever flame back... all i did was curse and tell them to report the vayne who was trolling and even said in all chat she was and had been for 15 minutes. i got out of the game, and i get suspended, forever. i really didnt flame and i havent ever since my last chat suspension and i just dont understand anymore. nobody i ever report gets in trouble? and they flame way worse. i dont really ever flame at all anymore, just curse sometimes. just wondering why i couldve gotten banned. thanks.

Just to clarify you got perma banned?

Straight up asking for reports is bannable. If this was a perma ban then you would of had a two week suspension and any small stuff up you do risks a perma ban.

The standard punishment system is a four tier organization:

10 game chat restriction
25 game chat restriction
14 day temporary suspension
permanent suspension

If your last punishment was a chat restriction, then the normal course would have been to bump you up to the 14 day temporary suspension at your next punishment. Did the notification say you were being suspended, or permanently suspended? It is possible to skip tiers of punishment, in the case of extremely toxic behavior, like use of hate speech, etc. Typically calling for reports, while considered harassment, is not enough to cause a person to be escalated beyond the next tier. If you would like us to review your logs and try and give you an idea of what happened, feel free to post your reform card here and we can look it over.

As an aside, you only get the notification that a player you reported is punished if YOUR report is the one that triggers their punishment. All other players that report them do not get the notification. So, they very well may have been punished.
