How do I make sure to not to get perma-banned??!

So recently I have found myself getting sucked into /all chat. After playing for some time now I have recently received a 2 week ban. Based on the chat logs it was deserved and I do not deny getting toxic. Firstly, I have disabled all chat to cut back on what I see from enemy team. Other then that though how do I ensure that I do not get perma-banned? Like if I just decide not to type in chat at all anymore what so ever but still ping team can I get reported for lack of communication? And if so are those reports different from verbal reports? Would really like to avoid losing my account after all the time, money and energy I've spent on this game.

You actually can't get banned for not talking to your team anymore. Pings is also considered communication too. So if you don't talk in game or just mute everyone you can't get banned.

Well if you find yourself unable to ignore the all chat then disabling it was good idea. And i don't think you can be reported for no communication as long as you ping enough. If people complain saying that that pings aren't enough because it's easy to forget them then that's their issue as far as i am concerned.

^Person above seems to think something similar.

There isn't any need to talk in the game. The pings can pretty much tell everything. Just mute everyone. Disabling all chat was a good step. Now just take it a step further and mute your team and just ping.

Disabling all-chat is a great first step.

{quoted} Like if I just decide not to type in chat at all anymore what so ever but still ping team can I get reported for lack of communication?

-Can you get reported? Yes. But you can get reported for literally anything, all it takes is for someone to hit the red button.

-Would Riot punish you for it? I don't think so; not in this context.

Failure to Communicate reports are often threatened by players, but (to my knowledge) seldom acted on. Lyte has said on multiple occasions that most players don't use chat.

The only time you need to talk to your teammates is when you're doing something crazily unexpected. There was a recent case of a streamer queuing for support and playing Roaming Smite Singed. He got a 2-week ban because he wasn't informing his teammates of his wildly off-meta strategy in lobby. He'd just silently insta-lock and leave his ADC in a 2v1 lane.

Doesn't look like that's the case here. You could probably just /mute all at the beginning of every game and be fine.

You aren't going to get reported/banned for not using chat. Just make sure that you don't do things that would antagonize people, don't AFK in base, don't tilt-out if losing and solopush a side-lane over and over, that sort of things. Just never do anything questionable.

Ever. Because after a 2 week ban, you are basically on the last line of shape up or ship out and it will take a very long time to get back into good standing, I think especially if you are not using chat but desperate times call, right?

The system is draconian and authoritative, but tbh it really doesn't punish you unjustly. It's not going to barge into a little grandma's house looking for coke that doesn't exist and then sentence her to forty years in the pen. It's more like you were going two-hundred miles an hour and so they revoke your driver's license for five years and a $10,000 fine.

I would suggest using more formal behavior, more polite speech, and more charitable in your altercations. But if you just want to spam nonsensical slurs without anybody giving a damn because it's the internet, I would suggest playing TF2 instead. It's common for people to say 'ggez' and no one flips the fuck out.
