why dont afk players become bots?

So I was in a game and my internet went out, didnt know what was wrong tried to close client open it back up nothing computer wasnt finding the internet go to look at router (in another room) and it was smoking ( had previously told Rogers about sparks coming out of the power supply in the router but they said not to worry about it. so needless to say had to unplug it and replace router. got home as quick as I could and tried to fire (pun) up league now I have a 5 match 20 minute wait. Just posting this because I wanna know if other people are fed up with this leaver buster. I mean if it affects the game this much when a player leaves why can't a bot take over for an afk player?

If a piece of electrical equipment has sparks coming out of it and someone tells you not to worry about it you should slap the stupid out of them. You're lucky it didn't start a serious fire.
I'd rather have an AFK than a bot on my team. At least an AFK doesn't feed the enemy team 20 kills.

If you're waiting 20 minutes due to Leaverbuster, you've had much more than just one dropped match.

I find it easier to come back from an AFK than a Bot AI that is constantly farmed by the lane opponent for Gold and XP.

Youre complaining about a 20 minute wait?

The 20 minute wait isnt doled out that freely. I rarely AFK, so I havent had any penalties since christmas. In christmas I thought this was a boring game so I would afk all the time between level 1-10. I went from 2 warnings, 5 mintue ban, 10 minute ban (maybe 15 cant remember) then a 20 minute ban.

This reset within 1 month and leaver buster "congratulated me" for reforming my AFK.

If youre getting a 20 minute wait its because youre AFK often and that is NOT OKAY. Im sorry your internet provider is crap, but what about the rest of the team who has had 20 minutes+ of their time wasted by you going AFK , what ever the reason is???

In some cases when League/Riot servers go to shit and have bugs that cause issues in champ select etc, then yes it is understandable that you achieve this level of banning.

But if its because of some issue on your end, enjoy your ban. I hate having AFKS on my team. Some weeks I have had almost 30 AFKS over the course of the week in my games.

Bot are objectively worse than an AFK player. At least an AFK player can't feed massively.

Bots don't really do the whole teamwork thing. I imagine they'd be more of a pain for the allied team than enemy.

Bots are worse than AFKs, at least AFKs won't be giving 20 free kills to the enemy team.
