why is swearing and toxic bannable when there is a fat mute button? i get more toxicity in this game then DotA 2 (and there is like 2 rules in dota, chat restrictions is like half of one) toxicity only works on toxic people, because toxic people need to rebuttal. Non-toxic people just mute or tell them to stfu and then mute. i've always been generally curious because i've seen some friends be stupidy mean to some people but remain unpunished, so whats the point in this system? riot states that like 0.02% or 0.002% of all players get banned because of being toxic, but i think its just that many people get caught being toxic.

The mute button is there to stop the problem right then and there. The report is there so people dont have to put up with them in the future (assuming they are punished) Seriously this has been said time and time again. The mute button isnt there to justify harassing your teammates. Riot assumes everyone can be civil when playing a game. It is not their fault you cannot have any sense of control!

Because if toxic people can't shut themselves up, then they deserved to be punished. Even victims of these toxic players can mute them & then report them afterwards.

People forget that just because someone was toxic in your game doesn't mean that person is regularly toxic.

its because the system is designed to work around the majority. and the people who actually report dont report people for being toxic. they report them for being toxic and having a bad score

I never flame in-game, EVER ! I will ask for people to stop being Jerks but I do so in a nice way, I don't use "Mute" either. It isn't because I don't get frustrated sometimes though. I don't flame because it does no good. In you opining statement you say "toxicity only works on toxic people, because toxic people need to rebuttal."

Isn't this what you are discussing right now? The mute button is Not a "I can say whatever I want button" because others can mute me.

Let me just make it easy, don't say rude crap in-game and don't break the very simple rules and then players won't get the punishment or banns.

I am curious what exactly you are asking or complaining about? Are you punished, or is this something you are asking to understand the rules, Do you need to know why their is a Mute button or punishments? We can help with those questions. I will try at least.
