No punishment for the wicked. Abused every way possible and my interaction with Riot Support.

A few days ago I was playing some ARAMs, and I was matched with a duo. From about 5 minutes into the game, through the end game lobby, they were verbally abusing everyone else on the team. Everything from how bad we all were, to hate speech, to sexual harassment. I reported them after the game.

Next game, I was matched against the same duo. From the very start of this next game, they unloaded again. It was the most unprovoked verbal savagery that I have ever seen. Again, hate speech and sexual harassment running wild. After the game, one of the guys decided to send me a friend invite, because clearly he wasn't done with me. I added him, and remained silent, knowing that it would just be more screenshots to pile on top of him. Here is the entirety of our end game lobby from game #2, to get a very tiny sample of what my last hour of League looked like... http://imgur.com/a/8Om0Q

I decided that just reporting them wasn't enough. Anyone that was willing to go this overboard unprovoked clearly needs to be in a padded room and in a straight jacket, but the least that I could do was take some screenshots and send them directly to Riot support. I am all for some back and forth, competitive banter, and adult language. Most games, I figure a dude is just tilted and having a bad day, so I don't even report them. These 2 guys were beyond that. Straight up predators, who fed on the blood of other players.

I sent everything over to Riot Support, and I was told they'd take action. A day goes by, and the predator who friended me is still playing. Another day, still going. I contact support again, and I am told that Riot uses a multiple step discipline system to reform players.

As of right now, this player is still online and enjoying games. So now I ask, where is the swift punishment for hate speech? Why are you guys so soft on sexual harassment? How do you protect your community(of all ages) from being targeted by people who cross every ethical and moral boundary?

I'm all for reform, but imo there's a difference between stealing a pack of gum and shooting someone. I can't imagine there being more of a cardinal infraction than dishing out an hour of hate speech and sexual harassment. If I'm late for work, I might get a verbal warning. If I walk into work and punch my boss in the face, the same verbal warning becomes a laughable punishment.

Like I said, that link that I posted is 8 seconds of what was an hour of abuse. This predator and his duo partner didn't even receive a 1 day ban for that?! Then I got smart, and decided to see who "Mr. Untouchable" was, because I have heard stories of people getting perma banned for MUCH LESS, and this guy isn't even going to serve a single day. He is Diamond 1 with almost 1k games this season. Is that the determining factor? If you play a lot? Do you have to spend a lot? What exactly is the criteria for being able to continuously pound another human being into the dirt with hate speech and sexual harassment, and get to walk away laughing? Which people are allowed to deploy extraordinary violations of the summoner code's most egregious infractions and get put on a 12 step program, while others would be perma banned for this same garbage?

If you reported them in the post game, then you've done what you can.

Why friend them? You already knew what kind of players they are. You can easily block or unfriend players out of the game. I have never seen someone punished for chat only outside of the game.

They may be at a separate tier of punishments. There are chat restrictions 2 week suspensions, and finally the permanent ban. Punishments are not based off of skill level, time played, or money spent on an account.

You can't expect instant results just because you put in a separate ticket. Do you have any idea how often this happens? It goes into the line like every other support ticket for in game player behavior issues.

How do you sexually harrass someone over the internet when they have no way to figure out your gender.

Did you tell them you were a girl.

Guys 100% don't just start sexually harassing other guys...

If so why the fuck would you tell them that?

Yo. They probably got a chat ban, or at least are on the way to it. You did your job. You met some unpleasant people, you reported them. Move on

You received some pretty bad treatment. No arguments there those guys deserve the reports you filed. BUT

You didnt use your mute. you let them tilt you further You weren't satifisied with the punishment because it didn't make you feel better about what they said to you....when you could've muted... preventing you from seeing a torrent of babble that has no relevance to your waking world You actually opened yourself up to MORE harassment by adding him XD Its not a big deal you did what you had to do move on with your life
