Mute yourself?

Anyone can tell me how to mute yourself? Tried to unbind enter, but could not find it anywhere in options, assigned it (enter) to some other feature and it did them both at once then.

I assumed this simple post, with clearly defined question, would not attract the intellectual majority that frequents these forums and have no desire to genuinely help anyone whatsoever, but posts exclusively to achieve that fleeting sense of moral superiority and to validate their own existence. Clearly I was wrong.

Even if you could unbind the Enter key from chat through the options, you'd be able to re-bind it mid game, so that doesn't solve your problem. Riot doesn't want you to be locked out of saying anything useful to your team, so they're not going to provide you with a self-mute option either.

You ultimately will need self control to mute yourself, there's no two ways about it.

Yet I believe It would solve my problem, as I would not be inclined to bother scrolling through options in the middle of a ranked match. I also genuinely think Riot designers had a different line of thought when they made it that way, but that is of secondary concern to me. At least you bothered to put some arguments into your post, even if they are only based on your personal opinion, that's already commendable.

There's not really a way to do it. You can't bind the chat function to a different key, as I had previously thought. You could maybe unbind the physical key from your keyboard.
