WTF Is Scripting?

I was playing a game as Xin Zao recently and got quite a bit of kills. It was around the 30 minute mark and I had 15 kills that the opposing team threatened to report me for scripting. The game was over and I got a warning that people reported me but I just wanna know wtf is scripting. Cuz I play league casually and aren't even qualified for ranked yet. I get the feeling that it's a form of cheating but what is it?

In the context of this game, it's essentially using something that plays the game for you. This can be something as simple as using a macro that performs a champion's combo with the push of a single button, or something more complex like a program that makes you auto-dodge skillshots.

Perhaps your performance led them to believe your movements were inhumanely good, which I suppose you should take as a compliment. In any case, Riot will probably investigate your account for script usage before any sort of judgement is made. I don't think the system auto-punishes for this type of report?

It's not scripting. It's called being good.

Scripting: "A scripting or script language is a programming language that supports scripts, programs written for a special run-time environment that automate the execution of tasks that could alternatively be executed one-by-one by a human operator. Scripting languages are often interpreted (rather than compiled)."

scripting basically is cheating and a program aiming or dodging for you. since you didn't actually script, you don't need to worry about another.

Scripting is any process or program that automates in game functions.
