Power Went Out, game was canceled too early

So I started a game, power goes out and comes right back on. It takes my computer 2 minutes to boot back up and another 2 to load up league. I get into the game and the auto-ends-because-leavers feature was already enacted. I get people don't want to waste their time but there needs to be some sort of timer on this. At least 5 minutes before the team can even make a vote on it. Now I'm stuck with a 10 minute ban and probably 9 reports going my way regardless of me showing up in-game before it was shut-down and explaining everything in the post-game chat. This was a cool feature for people who never rejoined the game but this is ridiculous.

3 mins is fair amount of time to reconnect also 9 reports does nothing to you the system already flagged the game when you dc'd Don't worry about being punished, over 1 or 2 dc's it happens riot knows it does take the slap on the wrist punishment as them telling you don't do that again. You'll be fine(most likly)

If you got a 10 minute wait time then it means that you have a history of frequently leaving/afking. The system has built-in leniency for unexpected situations but frequent leaving/afking will use that leniency up. To get it back you have to not leave/afk in games and take care of everything that you need to do before you queue up for a game. From the Leaverbuster FAQ:

HOW LONG WILL I REMAIN IN THE LOW PRIORITY QUEUE? You will be placed in the low priority queue for 5 games. If you continuously leave, the low priority queue timers increase from 5 minutes per game to 20 minutes per game.

IT'S NOT MY FAULT. MY INTERNET/YOUR SERVERS DISCONNECTED ME. I HAD A REAL-LIFE EMERGENCY. I HAD TO GET OFF THE COMPUTER. THE GAME CRASHED. UNBAN ME! We understand that players may be forced to leave from time to time so the system has been designed to keep these situations in mind. After leaving a few games, you will be placed into a low priority queue; as long as you can complete 5 matchmade games without leaving, you will be returned to the normal queue. However, if you continue to leave games, you will remain in the low priority queue.

They didn't know you were coming back, and 5 minutes is too long of a gap for you to make it up imo. You'll be coming back to salty teammates, a half dead tower possibly or 0/2 support trying to solo defend his tower, and a really large cs gap. Power outages don't occur often enough to change the whole remake system, but having a connection failure only takes 2 minutes to fix. They aren't compensating for your quality of Internet or circumstances that SHOULD very rarely happen... I'm glad they allow remakes, I've had to remake so many games with people who came back to lobby complaining about their 5.99 a month caveman connection.
