"everyone deserves to be treated with respect"

This quote is in the explanation for the chat restriction you gave me. The game you chat restricted me for was a game where the adc was lux, the entire team fed 20 kills before the 10 min mark, flamed everyone relentlessly, and all i did was try to tell them to calm down, then mute them. How is it that you are treating me with respect?

Chat log that they sent you for the chat restriction, don't they give you a reason for it in an email?

That won't get you a chat restriction. You have to have said something else. Maybe provide chat logs?

The only respect Riot understands is people reporting to a select threshold then bam. Punishment system. Riot will most likely make excuses for giving you that punishment but really, it's just lazy Riot Support not wanting to actually fix these situations their own faulty judicial coding puts both you and them in.

I got a 14 day suspension and rewards revoked for a single normal game that my whole team had fun inting. We were a 5 man group and we all inted in a normal game, (I have the video). One single incident of punishment and reporting by most likely all 5 enemy players has made me unable to play clash because my honor level is still too low. The reasons and explanation they gave me when I tried to understand the problem better is that we were ruining the enemy team's experience with the game which makes actually no sense. No flame, just jokes and feeding.

Edit1 : https://imgur.com/a/tTvv3 Evidence for those who think it's in any regards to actual behavior or other games they think I'm hiding (This one has the chat logs @KittySuppSquad)

Edit2 : https://imgur.com/a/mVo6C More evidence I have never been toxic or punished over the span of 7 years experience with this game either

Hello! Post your chat logs, and myself or one of the other moderators or community members can point out what likely caused the restriction.

I really don't think that's appropriate to start trying to go through little steps of the game and how it deteriorated. It is especially inappropriate given that riot only shows one side of the conversation to me in the report. Opening that up to the entire board would just be asking for a trollish discussion really. It's your board so If you would like the transcript posted, by all means post it yourself with both sides.

PS may as well link the game video if you really want to get that granular, however I don't really think a trolled out low elo game where my team was either intentionally throwing or just that bad is really that entertaining for my time. The entire point of playing ranked play in the first place is not to have nonsense games like that. I was hoping to have some progress to more respectful games in the future not some further trollish argument about this one game.

Hi Mischief1,

Almost no one here has the ability to reverse your penalty. The point of posting on the player behavior board is so people can help you understand why a punishment was applied, something we cannot do accurately unless you provide your chat logs. This has nothing to do with wanting to turn this into a trollish discussion, or to derail the focus. I will try though.

It is especially inappropriate given that riot only shows one side of the conversation to me in the report.

In what way do you feel this is inappropriate? You are responsible for your actions. What other people said, or did does not give you permission to say, or do whatever you like in response. There's a reason other people's chat isn't shown, and that's because it's about your behavior, not theirs.

I will admit the worst thing I said was that some one was full of shit before i muted them. I won't pretend that my language is always perfect, but taht is very dishonorable that somehow that could be used as a dishonest excuse for negative punishment against my account.

From this small snippet, it sounds like instead of trying to tell them to calm down, you got into an argument with them. Even then, telling someone they're "full of shit" is a negative behavior, and would contribute to a punishment.

You should understand that what's fun for you, isn't always fun for someone else. The people you played against might have reported you because they didn't like playing against a full team of people inting. They may have found it boring, or a waste of time, maybe they just wanted to play a proper game, but instead they're stuck wasting however long it took for that game to finish. I know I personally wouldn't enjoy a match where the entire enemy team was inting.

The volume of reports doesn't change anything, whether one person, or all nine others reported you won't alter the outcome. A single report causes the IFS to scan the game, and if negative behavior is found, then applies that to your account. From small things that aren't punish worthy by themselves, all the way to a straight up 14 day ban.

Singular game. Look back at edits and tell me the game was worth a 14 day ban. They never complained in the game also and if you don't believe that I will personally upload the video today and put a third edit to show what went down that day.

I am personally not familiar with how punishment tiers go for purposefully feeding, but they do not need to complain during the game. From your posted conversation with Riot, they informed you that it was for a single game, so it seems that if they can prove you intentionally fed, then you receive a 14 day suspension. You broke the rules by intentionally feeding, someone reported you, and you received a penalty.

Whether the penalty is unfair or not is opinion, Riot seems to think so, and if you disagree, you are always welcome to contact support and ask for them to reduce your punishment.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. I believe in taking my punishment and don't mind playing off a few games with chat restriction. I don't come in here to whine about that. I see a strong negative pattern in your games though. I played half a ranked season in season 6 and last year was my first full season. I am in my second year of playing your game now and do not feel I am given due respect by older players who never address anyone in a respectful way in the first place. The result of the way you are moderating seems to be less vulgar due to this type of disciplinary action but even more conniving and backstabbing than other competitive games I have played. A public forum like this is a trial by public opinion and given our audience its more like a trial by firing squad. Putting one side of the conversation would clearly not give me a fair or objective evaluation anyway. Look how many people have already chimed in a trollish comment and I didn't even provide them meat of a chat log to work with. I don't pretend that my language is always perfect, but there seems to be a growing griefing trend trying to target peoples accounts for punishment rather than even playing the game at all. I would love to post the video however as it pretty clearly shows that the people reporting me weren't even trying to win in the first place.

Again, the reason chat logs only show your side of things, and do not give full context is because what other people said or did is not important. I understand it can be very hard to ignore some things, and fall into the trap of replying in a negative way, especially when someone is targeting you with harassment, or throwing a game on purpose, but at the end of the day, you are responsible for your own behavior. No one forced you to reply in a negative way, you chose to do so. Your chat logs show the behavior that you are responsible for, and the behavior you have control over. Context of what the other players said, or did does not excuse your own.

I would suggest muting people when you start to feel the urge to respond, rather than give in and be placed in this kind of situation.

From Riot's support page: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/207489286#h2q2

Simply speaking, retaliation is not an acceptable or justifiable behavior. An argument between two players can easily create a negative experience for the rest of the players in the game with you. Regardless of the other player’s actions, this does not justify your own behavior. You alone are responsible for your actions within the game. If you encounter a toxic player like this, the best option is to simply report their behavior and move on.

If you want real feedback on whether or not your punishment was appropriate, post your chat logs. After being on the forums for a while, I don't believe people's characterizations of their own chat logs.

People are almost always misrepresenting their chat logs to get sympathy from the forums.
