Problems with the tribunal system

I was recently just banned from missing part of a game in league of legends. I understand the tribunal system but I literally missed ten minutes of the game that was due to my wifi being cut off, I fixed it as soon as possible the game was over and we had won. I later found out that I was actually banned and had to wait twenty minutes before each match for the next five games. I am so confused and am wondering if there is any hope for this all to be undone, can anybody help me?

The Tribunal is still down for maintenance, actually. They're giving it a huge overhaul to use in unison with the new player behavior systems currently in place.

That said, you were punished by the Leaver Buster system. It's virtually completely automated and places an increasing number of flags on your account for each afk/disconnect it detects (Usually beyond 3-5 minutes). The system makes no distinction between players that disconnect as a result of client side issues (in this case your wifi) and intentional afks because there is pretty much no way for a system (or human monitoring) to know the difference. It also remains a fact that your disconnect caused a negative experience for the rest of the players in the match.

As for the help you're seeking, I'm unsure as to what it is you're actually wanting. It sounds like you've already served all 5 chat restrictions. If you have, then just be careful to avoid it happening again in the future and the alert level on your account with drop back down to normal on its own. This is because, though the flags will always be on your account, the weight they hold will gradually decline so that only repeat offenders are consistently punished and not players that disconnected due to infrequent circumstances. If you haven't, just bear through them and avoid it happening again if you can. Watch a show or do something else in the background to pass the time and keep your volume at a level that you hear the queue timer when it does pop (so you won't have to rewait the whole twenty minutes).

Hope this helps.

Try not to call it being "banned". It's easily confused with an account ban when you actually mean you just have a low priority queue.

The Leaver Buster system doesn't care what caused you to leave. If you keep doing it and/or are gone for too long, then you'll get flagged as a leaver. If you continue doing so the penalties will increase; since you're on a 20 minute LPQ that means you leave considerably more than everyone else. I'm doubting it's always due to power outages. If you have frequent issues, you should do something to avoid or fix them, because as inconvenient the LPQ is for you the leaving is a problem for everyone else in your games too.

That is bizarre I have had many power outages in the past and missed full games and never got banned. I suggest you send riot a quick email and try to get it solved. Im sure the people at riot would be more then happy to help :)

Thats not a ban ... its called "low priority queue" and is punishment for leaving a game ... LeaveBuster

EDIT: Looks like a case of "force majeure" .. don't think riot will do anything about it, nor will it affect your account in any way after you passed those 5 games. (you'll still have the full 4 escalation steps from punishment) nothing to worry about.
