Scripting in bot games?

I havent played a lot. I mostly play player vs bot games as I got wrecked in the first couple of pvp games I played. I am getting better and starting to carry intermediate games so hopefully wont see this much longer. With that said, it seems 1 in 3 games, there is a player using some type of farming scripting program. It runs to the farms and attacks if up or just stands idly if not. Seems to die several times to some of the mobs but never talks and never deviates from the rotation. I am usually not this salty over things but made it run into the opening of Worlds...

Anyway, I just dont see the purpose of doing this nor why its a thing.. Anyone else see this?
