This seems like a pretty welcomed change for hostage situations in Champ select
Well I guess if Riot moves forward with this that people won't be getting away with attempting to force dodges by trolling in the champ select.
I don't understand. Why do I need to report someone in champ select when I can just report them as normal when the game ends? It's not like reporting them early will force some kind of remake. And in fact, there are times where someone picks an off-meta character, gets trolled, and ends up playing fine. How many premature reports will this get?
Another example: you hover over Blitzcrank to play support, but you're 5th pick. If I ban him because it's risky to let him be picked up by the enemy team, people will surely report me. It's a strategy, not griefing.
Not long ago I had mid laner in champ select lock in vayne threatening to feed after someone in our team banned yasuo. Couldn't dodge because I was in promos, so locked in as anivia. Luckily my team won that game despite how toxic vayne was the entire game. Another problem I've just been experiencing is when autofill supports ask to either get their role switched or feed.
