Previously riot stated that pick order was the enforcer of role choice. There still exists pick order in the new q but it pairs people based on their preferred roles. This gives an implied enforcement of that delegation. How will riot be dealing with players that adhere to pick order over role assignments receiving complaints?
There is no pick order with the New Champion Select because you already picked before queueing, it's not implied. You are given a role among what you queue for, and you are obligated to stick with it unless your teammates agree to swap. Players that steal roles are subject to account bans for their behavior. Report them and annotate what they did in the description.
Lyte said they would consider a report feature in champ select if role stealing continued to be a big issue when the NCS arrived, but it should have solved the majority of these conflicts.
this is going to ruin q times as players that would play support previously as a secondary role will no longer put it as such.
