14 day ban. WIthout a warning or 24 hour ban? Feedback please

I was playing a ranked game and inevitably got stomped which is understandable however instead of moving onto the next game and forgetting about it I was abused by a toxic Draven saying "kys" etc. His duo prater Janna started speaking Asian and in response to those comments i replied with "Asian", is that really a bannable offence? Why didn't I get a 24 hour ban or a warning, instead of getting an automatic 14 day ban? I understand that "Asian" could be classified as 'hate speech' but in reality I was merely stating this person's ethnicity, I did NOT mean it in a derogatory way. But anyways, I just wanted some feedback from a rioter due to not receiving an e-mail from Riot (or it hasn't entered my inbox yet) as to why I didn't get a typical 24 hour ban. Thanks.

that one is easy to figure out, you said KYS in chat whether quoted or not if someone reports you the automated system will pick it up and ban you. Now if that's worth a ban is another story. Avoid trigger words that'll get you instantly banned in your speech.

quoting words still triggers bans. same thing happened to me. They'll probably uphold yours because you said something about race but don't fret even if you didn't they'll probably still say you were being argumentative and such. I'm going through the same type of support ticket not sure they'll reverse it even though i didn't say much of anything else.

Our lord and savior Riot Lyte decided that context wasn't important in conversations and decided that everything slightly resembling rudeness is met with a punishment.

Riot doesn't want to replace the robot with humans, because hiring more staff would cost them money.

And of course, the tribunal was a monumental failure because the community can't be trusted to judge what is acceptable for the community.

Submit a ticket, should have the ban removed since you put quotes in. Any human can detect that you are merely quoting the toxic player and the ban should be reverted. If you didn't put the quotes in game, then tough luck cause big brother Riot wants to stomp out every thought of toxicity, even if it causes collateral damage.

I'm not saying this is what got you banned or even considered toxic by the IFS, but "should have known" after calling out a race........does have some racist connotation or implication.....
