I was banned for this???

I literally just got banned for this. Responding to being trolled = Bannable. Idk if this is right, idk if this is normal. I know people can't "sense" emotions or how someone feels when they type, I know you can't tell if someone's joking/raging/trolling when they type something online. But please read this and tell me-do the words justify the ban in a situation where all 3 of my supports, since the beginning of each game, are trolling me with their premade? (And remember you can't see who said what to me for me to say any of this.) 15 day suspension..

& let me say this right now since some people can't put things together as they read.

Question 1: If you're being trolled and your support/jg keeps taking your farm over and over... as an ADC what are you supposed to do? If you said.. keep farming cause you're probably useless in teamfights- You're CORRECT!

Question 2: If you're being trolled by a premade & you don't want to be banned by responding to the things that they type to you... what should you do? If you said mute them- You're CORRECT!

Do not tell me I got banned for farming to catch up and muting the people trolling me so I dont respond to them. Or is that EXACTLY what happened here.

Definitely deserved and glad to see that the system is working.

I mean look at the first line of each game:

Game 1 you complain sarcastically about a team mate. Game 2 you cry for reports Game 3 you complain again about a team mate.

Not a single line in all 3 games is not negative. Not a single positive or productive line of chat to be found. You just complain and bitch the entire time. And then you seriously ask yourself why you were banned? Especially after you already had chat restrictions ...

If you don't realize how toxic and annoying you really are, I give you 2 weeks after your ban and you will be banned permanently. I guarantee it

& The other two replies are telling me I got banned because I've been punished before. How do you know similar things haven't happened before? Do people not type at all to tell someone to stop trolling, stop inting? Tell me how this community works really, that's what I want to know. What is the main goal of a support, as an actual ROLE in the game are they >ALLOWED < to constantly take farm from adc ? Is inting/trolling a bannable offense-cause its not actually a provable offense in the tribunal.

I wish I could show yall these games man I have them "saved" on the client but I cant watch them in order to clip them for a video because.. I guess you cant watch a replay if you cant play a game?

If someone gets into your game and he already decided to ghost cleanse 6 tears nunu the shit out of your midlane, do you honestly believe telling him to stop or even worse BITCHING ABOUT HIM IN ALL CHAT is going to make him stop?

If you do you're delusional. I mean you might be delusional anyway since you can't even see the blatant toxicity in your own chat logs, but this would definitely seal the deal

What is complaining about the "troll" going to do?

If they are just having a bad game, you doing that is just going to make them play worse.

If they are actually trolling, nothing you say will make them change their mind, and getting you wound up is their precise purpose.

It's a lose-lose. The correct answer if you can't manage to not be a jerk about it is to just not type at all.

Kind of. If you're crying, blaming and bitching in chat you'll be punished. Just because you are being trolled doesn't mean you're allowed to break the rules and/or gives you permission to be toxic.

There are 4 tiers of punishment:

10 game Chat restriction
25 game chat restriction
14-day ban
Permaban

Everytime you get punished you'll move up the tiers. Punishment tiers can drop with games played and it takes an average of 3 months of games played to drop a tier. If you play alot, it'll take less calender days, if you just sit on the account and not play games, it won't decay at all.

You constant negative attitude is indeed punishment worthy. I'm guessing you had a 25 game chat restriction before this, so your punishment history accumulated and when it passed a threshold, you got punished into the next tier, which is a 14-day ban.

Listen, I've been playing this game since march of 2010. I care about a 15 day ban but to be honest I don't care as I'll be able to play in 2 weeks. I've got an important test to pass this friday anyway so you know without this game distracting me I'm gonna ace it.

Anyway, I want to know what is the proper course of action when being trolled in league of legends. Leaving the game is out of the question from what I understand. I've never ragequit since downloading this game & I honestly hate to surrender. From what I'm being told right now-

asking for a teamate to stop trolling you is wrong. Asking your team to tell the person to stop trolling you is wrong Telling people to report a troll is wrong muting the team so you dont rage at them is wrong farming in order to actually have any impact in the game is wrong trying to forfeit is wrong

Sarcastic or not, annoying or not-I didnt rage at anyone or call them nasty names, I didn't intentionally feed, I didnt troll anyone.... Literally my mentality in a game where im being trolled, this is the greatest comparison I could have asked for. Look at how this grown man is typing derogatory remarks a game forum. How do I respond?

Imagine that's a troll in game and I'm looking at my team like.. yo nobody's gonna do anything/say anything about this? Really? We're all just gonna sit here and let this guy do this? I'm a little too old to actually get offended by someone typing to me online. This is nothing compared to the 10 year old call of duty kids that cuss at their mom the same way they scream at players in game. But in this situation, what is expected of the person getting trolled?

& thats the mentality of the community. How dare you speak about being trolled. Riot can't do anything about the trolls themselves... so they punish people who type about the troll in game. "He's ruining their game experience by saying he's getting trolled." Nobody else knows they're gonna lose this game without a chance, nobody else is aware that this one player is making the next 40 minutes trying to win meaningless, who are you to enlighten them about the upcoming defeat screen and ask for a quick forfeit so EVERYONE can move on to the next game. Meanwhile the troll is intentionally feeding or refusing to play with any common sense at all.

In real life, have you ever been in a situation where you know something is wrong but everyone else continues to act like nothing is going on? As soon as you bring up the negative & try to fix it- you're at fault? Better yet, as soon as you bring up the negative, try to fix it, distance yourself from the people causing it or try to leave the situation entirely... you get banned.

Ya a guy came into the bank I work at and pulled out a gun and robbed us. He got caught and we had to resume busness as normal the next day. All the other workers acted like nothing happened because it happens every other month.

I've come to accept that this game will have trolls it's on the internet so ya. If people troll on my games I just try different builds and go into practice mode. I play the game for fun idc about rank. I don't play normals because they are too easy and ranked is 70% more serious. Just chill and enjoy the game why allow one person to ruin the game for you. Like riot has no defences against first time trollers. If someone is a model player then one game he goes ape how do you expect the company to pick up on that before the game starts?

I wish I could show you the video. You know how much dashing yasuo can do against a minion wave? Taking each one over and over and over just like an irelia could? That relic shield looks really good on paper don't it? Btw that yasuo went 2/9/6 after taking at least half of my farm since level 1, didnt buy wards & the only support item he had was a relic shield. He kept going in 1v2, 1v3, 1v4 nonstop behind enemy lines like most yasuo who dont care about the team do. I hope you can imagine it in your head while he types "hey i have a relic shield" to save face in the tribunal. Dash dash, stab stab, tornado, pushing the wave constantly taking minions without wards. Flaming me for being weak. Yea I told him to stop trolling me. Yea I muted him and his premade, & yes I tried to farm until I actually got some items since I was denied farm. Banned.

I'm terribly sorry to have to tell you this. Riot has shifted their attention to deal with an ongoing toxicity issue. Yes, I know, it's sort of crept up on us and no one was ready for it, but to be fair we should have never been so confrontational in the first place. It did sort of lead people who were on toxic paths into believing that they weren't doing anything wrong the entire time that merited a ban.

But it's not the end of the world, just the end of that accounts lifetime. There is an enjoyable side of the game to play and that is what they want us to focus on now.

TL DR yes what you did was bannable and it always has been.

No I get it, Riot would rather deal with people who communicate through typing than with trolls and int feeders that actually love to make people lose games. Hence the emote system so we dont have to type anymore. I get that completely. I also understand that riot themselves aren't the ones deciding who is deserving of a ban, it's teenagers who can't read between the lines because the tribunal system is flawed to the max by deciding who is truly wrong in a situation based on text and not gameplay. I get all of that.

Again, I just want to know the course of action I'm supposed to take when being trolled by half my team. Nobody here is blatantly saying I didn't get trolled so I'm fairly certain what I'm expected to do is sit at my computer for 40 minutes in a losing game with people purposefully trying to lose.

As it stands. He who does not type is innocent & he who types due to being trolled, harassment or not, is banned. < Is this the way we're going to continue?

No its not like that. Well... except for the He who does not type bit.... Silence is Golden. That's what I suggest to everyone.

When I got served my 14-day ban, I appealed it. A rioter reviewed my case and found that i was not deserving that ban, a day later the ban was ... not lifted or reversed... but reduced to 25 game streak. We had a nice conversation about the game and toxicity and all that stuff through the Support site.

They know that having enjoyable games is whats important to you. When I tried to appeal my permaban, I wasn't granted that, because I had deserved the report i got, and being on high alert after serving your 14-day ban, one more accurate report against you lands you the ban.

But the point is, I had at least 2 Rioter with morals and values review my case, and each time I feel they judged fairly once I understood the logic and reasoning behind what Bans and Suspensions are meant to accomplish.

It turns out its a lot harder than I would have thought to be a Player Behavior Support Specialist.

Anyways.. Yeah, don't type. People view it as a challenge and the result of who's report is more justifiable is the climax of the challenge.

It's like a game of Russian Roulette with your account. Screw that. I'm going with Silence.

Another problem with these boards. It's impossible to expect someone to read everything that has been said in a discussion but everyone has an opinion about it. Usually a first glance opinion at that. I got banned for complaining about being trolled because telling someone to stop trolling me is harassment. I get it-league community sucks as bad as it's ban system.

All you did is complain about being trolled to your team, and you got banned for it. Got it.

This is like: being the victim of a small crime irl asking for help asking for it to end & then being thrown in jail for disturbing the peace the Jury/Judge says: You shouldnt have said anything.

So who did I rob? Or in this case, Troll. Reacting to a PREMADE group purposefully taking my farm as an adc by asking the rest of my team for help, muting the trolls, attempting to farm, & asking for a forfeit? Banned.

& If I had not typed anything & continued to farm minions in an attempt to catch up after being trolled, those same premades would have probably reported me for "not communicating with team", if I had attempted to fight people I would have been labeled as a feeder (not just having a bad game)... even though those accusations would have been false I still would be punished. Thats what troll premades do.

I dont even know why I respond to certain things on this forum as if people don't understand what it's like to be underfarmed as an adc. I've got 40 farm in 20 minutes while the other adc has 90. Teamfight breaks out the troll premade watches them kill me and spam emotes. This community is crazy.

Like I said man, I care but I don't care. I just don't want to be banned permanently. I don't feel like I deserved to be punished for actually trying to win in those 3 games while playing with a troll. I understand riot cant control these guys at ALL, but punishing me for calling them out because it disrupts the game for everyone else is, imo, retarded. The system is F'ed when silence is the best course of action for the victim... & that seems to be the case as it has been for the past 6/7 years.

You would think I wouldn't care about actually trying to win games with obvious trolls-but I play to win. When the option of leaving because of a troll can net you a ban faster than the people intentionally ruining the game.. The verdict is: Suck it up, endure 40 minutes of bs, and don't say anything.
