I was banned for this???

I literally just got banned for this. Responding to being trolled = Bannable. Idk if this is right, idk if this is normal. I know people can't "sense" emotions or how someone feels when they type, I know you can't tell if someone's joking/raging/trolling when they type something online. But please read this and tell me-do the words justify the ban in a situation where all 3 of my supports, since the beginning of each game, are trolling me with their premade? (And remember you can't see who said what to me for me to say any of this.) 15 day suspension..

& let me say this right now since some people can't put things together as they read.

Question 1: If you're being trolled and your support/jg keeps taking your farm over and over... as an ADC what are you supposed to do? If you said.. keep farming cause you're probably useless in teamfights- You're CORRECT!

Question 2: If you're being trolled by a premade & you don't want to be banned by responding to the things that they type to you... what should you do? If you said mute them- You're CORRECT!

Do not tell me I got banned for farming to catch up and muting the people trolling me so I dont respond to them. Or is that EXACTLY what happened here.

Definitely deserved and glad to see that the system is working.

I mean look at the first line of each game:

Game 1 you complain sarcastically about a team mate. Game 2 you cry for reports Game 3 you complain again about a team mate.

Not a single line in all 3 games is not negative. Not a single positive or productive line of chat to be found. You just complain and bitch the entire time. And then you seriously ask yourself why you were banned? Especially after you already had chat restrictions ...

If you don't realize how toxic and annoying you really are, I give you 2 weeks after your ban and you will be banned permanently. I guarantee it

There are 4 tiers of punishment:

  1. 10 game Chat restriction
  2. 25 game chat restriction
  3. 14-day ban
  4. Permaban

Everytime you get punished you'll move up the tiers. Punishment tiers can drop with games played and it takes an average of 3 months of games played to drop a tier. If you play alot, it'll take less calender days, if you just sit on the account and not play games, it won't decay at all.

You constant negative attitude is indeed punishment worthy. I'm guessing you had a 25 game chat restriction before this, so your punishment history accumulated and when it passed a threshold, you got punished into the next tier, which is a 14-day ban.

Like I said man, I care but I don't care. I just don't want to be banned permanently. I don't feel like I deserved to be punished for actually trying to win in those 3 games while playing with a troll. I understand riot cant control these guys at ALL, but punishing me for calling them out because it disrupts the game for everyone else is, imo, retarded. The system is F'ed when silence is the best course of action for the victim... & that seems to be the case as it has been for the past 6/7 years.

You would think I wouldn't care about actually trying to win games with obvious trolls-but I play to win. When the option of leaving because of a troll can net you a ban faster than the people intentionally ruining the game.. The verdict is: Suck it up, endure 40 minutes of bs, and don't say anything.

Literally my mentality in a game where im being trolled, this is the greatest comparison I could have asked for. Look at how this grown man is typing derogatory remarks a game forum. How do I respond?

I dont want to type to you, you're being toxic, I have no intention of speaking to you. In game: I dont want to talk to you, im muting you. I don't want to play anymore I'm being trolled. -BANNED

Someone tell me what else I was supposed to do if anything when being trolled? Just ignore it-keep playing with the troll premade for another 40 minutes? Thats fun.

People, you see this guy coop talkin all the trash trolling me saying w/e right? Imagine that's a troll in game and I'm looking at my team like.. yo nobody's gonna do anything/say anything about this? Really? We're all just gonna sit here and let this guy do this? I'm a little too old to actually get offended by someone typing to me online. This is nothing compared to the 10 year old call of duty kids that cuss at their mom the same way they scream at players in game. But in this situation, what is expected of the person getting trolled?

Since these were your first words of game 2, I'm curious as to when you began typing. Since Yas took a Relic Shield, he was showing SOME desire to support... so were you yelling at him from the first wave, or only later?

Because I'm as non-toxic a guy as you can find, but if somebody is screaming at me and calling for reports on me right off the bat of the game, I'm gonna be very tempted to keep hitting those minions.

I'm terribly sorry to have to tell you this. Riot has shifted their attention to deal with an ongoing toxicity issue. Yes, I know, it's sort of crept up on us and no one was ready for it, but to be fair we should have never been so confrontational in the first place. It did sort of lead people who were on toxic paths into believing that they weren't doing anything wrong the entire time that merited a ban.

But it's not the end of the world, just the end of that accounts lifetime. There is an enjoyable side of the game to play and that is what they want us to focus on now.

TL DR yes what you did was bannable and it always has been.

Listen, I've been playing this game since march of 2010. I care about a 15 day ban but to be honest I don't care as I'll be able to play in 2 weeks. I've got an important test to pass this friday anyway so you know without this game distracting me I'm gonna ace it.

Anyway, I want to know what is the proper course of action when being trolled in league of legends. Leaving the game is out of the question from what I understand. I've never ragequit since downloading this game & I honestly hate to surrender. From what I'm being told right now-

asking for a teamate to stop trolling you is wrong. Asking your team to tell the person to stop trolling you is wrong Telling people to report a troll is wrong muting the team so you dont rage at them is wrong farming in order to actually have any impact in the game is wrong trying to forfeit is wrong

Now obviously, I don't think any of that is wrong because thats exactly what I did in those 3 games. Sarcastic or not, annoying or not-I didnt rage at anyone or call them nasty names, I didn't intentionally feed, I didnt troll anyone.... So all I want to know-mostly from Riot at this point- what am I supposed to do when being trolled when your ban system CANT do anything against it.
