I feel if players got a message saying what happened to a player after they reported someone there would be less trolls or afks. riot send out messages all the time i dont think it would be hard and it would make players feel like reports matter knowing something happened rather then wondering if an afk got banned or not.
There is already a system in place for this. While you won't receive feedback for every report you make that contributes to a player's case, there is a very good chance you'll receive notification when a player is punished due to your report.
If you're not seeing the notifications, the reported players may have had just one bad game (which we try not to punish unless it's really bad) or they're working their way towards a future punishment. Make sure you're trying to be as accurate as possible with your reports, too.
I've yet to see one of these, even though I report at least a few people a week over very clear cut things (like using homophobic or sexist slurs, and hatespeech). Not sure what's up there
