Voice Chat Suggestion

Dear Riot,

I would just like to say that this game is far too team reliant for there not to be a voice chat. I'm not sure what the reason for this is. If the reason is because you say people would be too toxic, then the solution is simple. I mute button. There have been so many games were my teammates and I have not been on the same wave length. I do not know what my teammates are thinking or what they want to do. But if we were to play a game were we could all talk, that would make the game a lot more fun to play.

I have noticed that when I'm in a voice call, even when my teammates do poorly in lane, the game is more fun and fair because in team fights, the lack of map awareness or coordination of some teammates can be made up for if other teammates are able to communicate to them and help them understand the situation and what to do. It also helps everyone understand what everyone has in mind, and how they plan to do it. A text chat is too inefficient and you cannot type in the middle a team fight.

I have played in a league of legends tournament with random people on my team, and being able to talk to my teammates made the games enjoyable and a lot more fun. It made my own mistakes a lot more noticeable to myself, and it also humanized the other teammates.

I do not understand why this isn't in the game yet, but it really should be. Not to mention the current text chat is mainly only used to be toxic and is too distracting for people. They simply focus on typing rather than playing the game, and causes many losses. They refuse to mute each other and simple tilt each other more and more. I think you should remove text chat if you don't want to add voice chat, which you really should, because it honestly is more damaging than not, most of the time.

Also, you may say that the same thing will happen in voice chat, but the benefits of having voice chat far outweigh the negative, simply because it can be used so much more efficiently.

Thanks

They have already stated they are working on a way to implement voice comms. Although im not sure why people think once this is implemented it would reduce toxic behavior. People will still be toxic. If anything it would be much more difficult to catch since at least with text you can simply use a search for certain text to see if people are being toxic. Once a voice comm is out you basically need to sit through the whole game and listen to every single voice to make sure they are breaking the rules, and even then you have to make sure its the actual person saying it. Dont get me wrong i like voice comms, but im not sure why this game needs it when there are already services that do it possible far better than what ever Riot is working on.

^ That.

It's just a terrible idea. Want to talk with your team? You have enough time to say, "hey, anyone willing for Discord?" and give them an invite. Just make your own server and after your done, if you're never gonna play with them again, kick them from it.

If they add voice chat, even if they decide to do it for pre-made groups only, it still leaves people up for abuse that will basically be untraceable.

I'm pretty sure clash's team voice chat is an experiement to see whether or not people will be super toxic in these super competitive scenarios.

I've played CoD. I don't want to standardize voice chat in league.

If my memory serves right they did test it out and put out a statment that it increased toxicity by a lot and they are therefore disinclined to implement it for the general playerbase.
