Is it my or do Gold 5's play intentionally bad?

Every time I get a gold V on my team...since i hit silver 1, they play worse then ppl then when I was mid silvers. They throw on purpose and say "I'm already gold idc" bc they can see I am Silver 1 and close to my series. The throw intentionally, refuse to communicate, are toxic and I've gotten more DC players on my team since I hit silver 1 than any other tier. ALL GOLD 5. Is anyone else experiencing this? Does Riot need to implement DEMOTION again so these guys can actually care to play?

These people think that they are great because they finally hit gold, so they tend to stop trying to win and just waste time.

Riot needs to implement demotion from gold to silver. These guys wont allow silvers to reach gold unless u are on a hot streak and land on teams without players like these. It's insane how horrible they are. fuck up eevery silvers promo matches. Please for the love of God Riot...bring back demotions to rank or this will continue to happen.
