Can you report someone if he accuses you of racism in game for no reason?

We had a Syndra in our game that randomly started saying we were racist and told the enemy in /all that we told her hitler was our father and that we wanted black people to die. I know that Riot does something against racists. But if someone accuses you of something like this, it is equally as upsetting. Just imagine someone pointing a finger at you in public and screaming "You are a racist, you want black people to die!" How would you feel?

It's harassment.

Yeah definitely, and it's cases like yours why I consider asking for reports or accusing people of poor behavior something that shouldn't be allowed in-game.

There was this one case way back (at least a year), where someone came to the boards claiming that they were banned just because they were only pointing out someone else being toxic.

Only to be revealed by a Riot employee that they were making false accusations the whole game.

Bruh does this need to be answered? If someone continually bothers you in game to a point where you decide to mute them, just report them and move on.

Of course. Anything that is considered as a negative attitude towards you is an offense and toxic. As everyone mentioned, it falls under harassment.

Yes it’s reportable Riot is extremely against racism, sexism, age discrimination, being mean to noobs, basically anything that makes some people better then others. Or at least I think they are... heck I don’t know what’s going on in the world anymore don’t listen to me [cass-cry]

Yeah but be careful. I got dropped to honor level 0 for getting angry at 2 of my teammates telling the enemy team to report me for saying the N word. When your team lies to get you reported, it truly is the most agonizing feeling. 2 punishments from me reacting negatively to people lying, and now I wont get season rewards. Just try to not say anything back when people do this and you should be ok.

Yeah, that is pretty much harassment unless there was some previous provocation you have not disclosed.

This is harassment. Simple as that.

Punishment for that player seems consistent with Riot's policies. What the Syndra player was doing was strongly implying to the other team that you should be reported, an action that is considered punishable. Riot considers this bullying.

I would think, in terms of accusing someone of racism, it would go something like this: If the person says "Can you please stop being racist" or "Can you please stop using racist remarks" and leaves it at that, there would be no punishment. But if they go full Tariq Nasheed and say something like "Suspected white supremacist over here feeding to keep the black man down," that would probably be considered harassment.

You can literally report whatever the fuck you want.

IF, Riot agrees with you, then they will issue a punishment. If, Riot doesn't agree with you, then nothing happens move along.
