Controlling one's temper in game

Before you make up your mind about me, let me lay out my thoughts and questions. I'm stuck in Silver 4/Silver 3 (I keep getting demoted from Silver 3 and getting into promos isn't terribly difficult). Something common that I see in Silver is there is always one guy (and I'm not going to lie, sometimes it's me) that just doesn't do terribly well. I've been that guy, frustrated as hell that I'm losing lane to a matchup I know well enough. Sometimes I can hold out without too much help, but sometimes I can't hold the lane and I do my best to survive, and all I get from my own Jungler is passive aggressive comments when I pretty much tell him the enemy laner is having his way with me and putting me behind to the point of being utterly useless. As someone who used to resort to that behavior (as well as using slurs), I've tried to hold my own tongue without muting but sometimes, I just can't do it (and recently it's gotten me a 14 day suspension). I want to avoid these in the future.

My questions are simply put:

  1. How do you deal with this? Do you just mute the player in chat or do you mute everything (chat and pings)? [I know sometimes players (like myself) get misunderstood and are competent enough to make decent calls more often than not, so I don't like to go so far as muting chat AND pings.]

  2. In the aforementioned situation, should I just give up the lane and forfeit turrets all the way up to the base? [I'll be 100% honest, I feel like I don't know how to play from behind very well, and it's something that I feel is holding me back.]

My best suggestion for toxic teammates in ranked is to just mute them and focus on how you can win the game. You don't gain anything from arguing and you'll just tilt them too in the process. The next thing to do is to have a plan of action for how you can win. If you focus on a "To Do List" in your head, then that'll distract you from the toxicity and hopefully calm you down.

If you're losing lane, the best thing to do is to try and roam to another lane and try to pick up gold by giving your other laners a gank (even if you're all behind). Also, buy as many control wards as possible and keep your jungle and baron/drag pit warded so you can always track the enemy team. You can try and drag out the game by grouping with your team in a lane where you know the enemy team isn't and hard pushing it. Then when they come to answer your push, go to another lane and keep doing the same thing. By doing this, you can hopefully rotate faster than they can so long as they aren't pushing too hard against you. Lastly, I'd pick team-fighting champs with a lot of CC because they usually do well in lower elo and players don't know how to deal with hard CC too often in lower elos.

Only one thing you can do, don't type in chat, simple cause if you do you get banned just how it works, doesn't matter who started the fight who was toxic first or anything you will be the one to get banned.
