LeaverBuster system needs a rework!!

Sometimes I play with a friend who is on LeaverBuster. When you start up the queue, it gives you a message saying you are in a low priority queue, with the option to Leave Queue. If you click this button, the queue cancels and the time RESETS. But if you don't click it, you have to wait the entire time without being able to do anything else. You can't talk to anyone, check your champion list, access the store, etc. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN FIXED YET?? The sad part is, LeaverBuster usually puts people at 20 minute bans for 5 games. That's a lot of time where you can't do anything in the client. It is really frustrating when the queue is almost done and someone cancels it.

I have personally never had LeaverBuster bans, but once in a while I have to deal with a friend who does.

I think the LeaverBuster timers should be more like the champion selection dodge timers, where there's an option to hide it and let it run in the background. I really don't get how Riot hasn't fixed this yet.
