Why do people like this exist?? (and mini support rant)

Just entered champion select wanting to support whereas a player selects Nami and asks to go support. I'd happily give it up and go top which I'm more than willing to fill for until she says "im so lag". Not only is he intentionally playing with lag but going support and doing badly isn't an excuse for feeding due to lag. I don't get how someone can be so selfish as to ruin the game for 4 other people just because someone with lag wants to play. I understand that there's still a possibility and the lag might go away and he'll do extremely well, but the odds are stacked heavily against him.

I think this also leads to the other 'topic' I've had on my mind for a very long time, being a semi-dedicated support player (70% of the time I fill which results in support, 20% of the time I go straight for support and 10% everything else), being a support isn't an excuse to feed, or in other words if you're a support and doing terribly, using your role isn't an excuse for your incompetence. Sure, if you have to die for your team for allies to live that's fine, but regardless who you play you should still strive to keep positive.

And if you do think that supporting is so unimportant that you ask to support specifically so you don't have to do anything, you're an utter piece of shit and you must not know how this game works.

Hello Air,

I'm here to help you today! As a person who lives in Alaska with 100+ ms ping and who is a support main... I can tell you that we try. Not all players who play support or who have lag are going to bad horribly or who intentionally make the game worse for others. Sometimes it happens to the best of us and we play to have fun. I can't predict when my internet will go bonkers during a snow storm and shoot up to 1000 ms but I play anyway, because the game is fun and I have to live with my weather.

For your second point, there are a lot of new players who hit 30 and may not know how to support. You also may want to consider auto fill putting players in the support role - who have never support before. I'm not asking you should coddle them, but consider their side before wanting to go on a rant about them.

I hope this segment helps!

I am sorry you're upset at the way I phrase things. My attempt with providing my side and input was to give you the other side of the argument. The attempt was also to trigger discussion.

Again I am sorry you feel that way, but if you're going to have a rant thread and some sort of discussion - there needs to be the other side. I see that you want to ignore a possible exigent circumstance on their end and be rude in this thread. That's fine and I wish you luck.
