Chat swung too far?

I understand that you have to stop toxicity. I understand that some players (like myself) get worked up when they are top and dominating and bot has like 19 deaths. But it seems it has swung so hard to reporting people that you literally can't say anything or you will be reported. For example, recent game support DCed for 6 levels and bot got trashed. The game was incredibly lopsided. I asked that we FF, and in doing so I said "raka already fd us" and later after Raka admitted she was voting no to troll us I said 'you already fd us and you are continuing to f**k us by voting no". The other game i said "we had a dipshit adc" because our adc wouldn't group or even defend he just stayed bot farming.

So it's ok to DC, then admit you are trolling your team, not defend towers, not group, and basically ruin the game for 4 other people but if you say ANYTHING harsh you get punished? If I mute everyone and not say anything am I getting reported for not communicating? If the idea for restricting chat is to increase the fun for other players, then punishments need to start being laid out for trolling. Why am i getting punished for saying "raka already fucked us" that isn't toxic that is stating a fact. SHe left the game for almost 10 minutes causing bot to get snowballed. THEN SHE TROLLED US telling us she was dragging the game out by voting no (because of course we have one of those that NEVER VOTE YES NO MATTER WHATas well) because she could. How is this fair to 4 other people? What are we supposed to do or say? Nothing at all? Give them their snowflake reassurances? "it's ok we lost, we understand you tried your best and that's all that matters"?

I can assure you in any other competitive event you screw your team up and then be a jerk to your team about it they will do more than hurt your widdle feelings.

Not really. Trolling intentionally is punishable. Playing the game your own way (i.e. not grouping if you think it's unwise) is not punishable as long as you're trying. DCing happens, but admitted intentional DCing can be reported.

Insulting teammates is not acceptable either, though.

You willing accept the risk you may get intentionally toxic people on your team when you join solo que as well as various other things ( players not taking ranked seriously , non meta etc etc)

If you don't like these risks than just play with premades and don't join a que with random players

So yes you are not supposed to react to ANYTHING you don't like legitimate or not in any way shape or form

there is no justification to adding more negativity to an already negative situation

If I mute everyone and not say anything am I getting reported for not communicating?

no you wont "refusing to communicate" is not a reportable offense

A report flags a game for review. They do not establish guilt. The game is then reviewed for harassment, feeding, etc. This is why 'troll reporting' or 'gang reporting' do not work. False or inaccurate reports are thrown out.

You cannot ever be punished for saying nothing . unless of course it's for something gameplay related like feeding, afking or cheating. But, you can never be punished for offensive language, hate speech or verbal abuse if you said nothing.

This was the hardest thing for me to do and I think a lot of players need to apply this logic, so I'll share it with you. When this happens there is really no reason to begin to feed into their activities. If you're spending time focusing on their movements and poor plays, you're not paying attention to your own champions needs. It is a lot easier to be forgiving and try to take a professional mind-set to what you're doing on the rift. I am not saying be totally a tool, but if you just look past a bad play or a poor start and keep on trying there will be a moment when you might overcome their trolling and could cause them to start actually playing. I've seen countlessly when if you don't feed into them and make it seem like whatever they're doing doesn't really impact you or your team and you're trying a lot of players will stop. If they don't, then /mute [summonername] and group with your team and try and win. Don't get caught up in a chat war, because anything that shows communications that are indirectly/ directly abusive can be picked up and their trolling will cause you to lose an account/ ban and that's never cool.

Remember we're all here because we love this MOBA and at times hate some of our fellow players, but you need to be better than their trolling and work on trying to overcome it. I know this isn't what you're expecting to hear, but you can become the problem if you feed on their bait. GL HF.

I’ve checked your match history and I’ve found that you feed as well but my question to you is. Does your team constantly flame you, and do you yourself vote no in votes to surrender? If so then you’re a hypocrite and you need to stop chatting.

Try to think of it like this... I'm silver 2 playing with my bronze 5 friend. I'm adc and their jungle ganks the shit out of bottom to hold me down. So I fall a little behind and have to farm up to be an effective carry. While I'm bottom clearing 12 creeps for some much needed gold and exp, the rest of the team is middle defending a tower. They repeatedly ping me for help, but with 4v5 all they have to do is defend while I get to carry status. They are upset. They think I should come mid to push with them even though it would just be a 5v5 mid. A couple of them are completely convinced that I'm not trying to win because I "refuse to group", as they go from defending to trying to teamfight. They fight, they die 4v5, and then blame me. Obviously they shouldn't fight. They should defend and wait 30 seconds for me to clear and come mid. See how convoluted things can get? They think I'm trolling, I think they're being dumb trying to fight at bad times.

Now do you really think that its a good idea to ban me because a bunch of bronzies think that Im trolling? Do you think it's a good idea to be able to flame me when I end up going 17-4 by the end of the game because I farmed up and got strong and was able to carry in the end? What do you want from Riot?! Things are complicated. It's a very circumstantial game. Riot can't afford to hire a team to analyze millions of reports and take a detailed look into whether I was trolling or not. That would be ridiculously expensive to hire people for that. So what we have, is a zero tolerance policy to minimize the policing costs. You can NEVER flame me, because your idea of justified flaming is different from others and requires a very specific series of events to be determined as justified flaming. Events that would have to be analyzed by people. Not just 5 minutes of the game. They'd have to watch the entire game to really be able to tell who's in the wrong. And THEN they have to determine if I'm just bad, or intentionally trying to troll these guys.

As far as your last part about screwing your team up... do you think any team would want a guy with them who berates them when they make a mistake? A morale killer on their team who snaps and starts insulting his teammates who are supposed to have comradery? THAT is called screwing your team up. And they would do a lot more than hurt your widdle feelings.. They would kick you off the team for being a jackass.
