Still Level 0 Honor

Look I get you guys are looking for reform, and you need to see the player change, but I have been level 0 honor for about 5 months of active play. I have received a fair share of popups for keys because I have received more honors in X slot than 100-300% of people. Why am I still stuck at level 1? I honestly wouldn't care that much, if there's some kind of loot I want I usually end up buying it anyways, I've put enough time into the game to not mind throwing some cash Riot's way, but the fact that I am barred from game play elements 6 months after an incident? Why? Literally just why?

Honor progress formula

Play lots of games

from the others that got out of h0, it took them around 250 games, it might take less games to get out of h1

Don't get validly reported

getting validly reported puts a screeching halt to your honor recovery progress

Get honors
Get team honors

team honor bonus is just as important as getting honor.

People who've been punish and aren't progressing normally trip up on point #2

Dunno, depends on how many games you play and how frequently you get validly reported.

If you play 20 games a month and don't get validly reported, it'll take 10 months. If you get validly reported 10% of the time, it'll probably take 30 months.

Climbing out of dishonorable is supposed to mean you have reformed.

Being reformed means that you don't get validly reported. Keep in mind that the system can validate false reports. So valid reports only means that one is still being toxic and therefore not reformed.

In Riots eyes, toxicity in 10% of the games is a lot. So if they suck at behavior, of course it will take longer to reform.

On top of that, 20 games a month is pretty much a casual player. If you treated honor as a leveling system, then it makes sense that your character doesn't level up much if you aren't grinding the levels that often. It also won't make sense that your character levels up while you aren't playing.

If you do see a problem with this, What do you see is the problem? This isn't Candy cane saga that is catered to the casual gamers. It also makes sense that people whom still aren't behaving get their punishment prolonged. So what exactly do you see as the problem?

I see a problem in the fact that I haven't been playing 20 games in a month, I would say 20 games a week is a closer bet, if not a day when I don't feel like playing anything else ( ARAM's move fast ) , on top of that I would say less than 10% I've said anything in aside from GG, or lol. The problem is the fact that a punishment system that is supposed to be temporary and based on how long a player plays positively for takes longer to progress through than Battlefront 2.

The problem I have is if we're going to treat it like a leveling system, there is no forseeable time to reaching the next level, even with good behavior and consistent grinding. Not to mention they consistently dangle it over your head like candy when you do finally get unbanned or unmuted or whatever it happens to be. I could care less about the way they dish out punishments, the games community is openly referred to has a cesspit and for good reason, a large majority of the players can't keep their temper, but the fact stands that for players who want to grind out and want to actually start changing, there isn't any way for them to see that they have a chance to make a change.

Yeah I get the little honor pop up's, I mentioned them because I got them at level 0 honor as well, I just wouldn't receive anything. When honor first came out it took me a month to get to level 4 ( give or take ) and it's taken me 6 months to break through the checkpoints of level 0. I want to see some form of progress instead of people just dangling things in front of me and telling to blindly go forwards

EDIT - On top of all this a valid report can be something as simple as getting targeted in a game and being reported for intentionally feeding.

You probably are well on track to getting out of h1 if you are playing that many games without getting validly reported.

From a leveling system standpoint, let's say you earn 0.25% exp to the next level per game with no valid reports. But if you die (getting validly reported), you loose 1% exp. You can play 4 games, die and be back to square one.

If you think that getting reported for inting while you are just feeding is a valid report, it makes me wonder what you think as true false reports. You might be getting validly reported without knowing.

I mean the reports aren't individually read unless it's a 50/50 chance on whether or not the account gets banned ( I'm looking for the link on the thread where I was in contact with a riot employee on another occasion ) Otherwise they're usually dished out through the automatic banning bot or whatever it's called. And I don't think it's a valid report, it's 100% invalid, but that would be assuming that a large majority of reports are read by people. In case of robots a robot checks for simple parameters ( like the use of racial slurs ) and more than likely places checks through more parameters to determine whether or not the account gets banned, muted, etc.

And yeah that does make sense what you said for the leveling system, but I still just don't think it should be so insane for how long it takes. I get the requirement for punishment, and for making sure the punishment sticks, but if people are making an attempt to better themselves than it shouldn't be nearly impossible.

And to emphasize the fact I said about making sure I didn't say anything and wouldn't get a verbal report, I had shut off All chat, and pushed normal chat into the corner where I couldn't view it naturally without removing it. If the team needed something I would pull it back up, but for the main part I kept it away haha.

Just to let you know, the system is more sophisticated that a simple word search. Though the zero tolerance system is indeed a word search.

I would hope so and I will haha, it's just frustrating, like if I wanted to do this competitive thing, I can't because of something that happened 6 months ago. I can't enjoy any of it with my friends.

And I'm glad to hear that it's more complicated it's a nice reassurance
