Permenently banned for rebuking toxic player.

In my defense, one of my teammates had wanted to pick the new champion, Aurelion Sol, as 4th pick. I banned him, and the player wouldn't stop raging about it, at any point in the game. It was nonstop, so i told him to shut up, my team told him to shut up, and even the enemy team told him to shut up. Then someone AFKed. Asides from that, yes i told a player to go screw themselves ( i probably deserve some punishment), but is that really worth a permanent ban?

This is absurd, and it makes me sad considering the time and energy i've put into League. Can i get a response from a red?

Have you been punished before?

Because Riot uses a 4 strike system. Meaning the severity of your punishment is based on how far up the punishment tiers you are, not on the severity of your offense. (Except in special cases like racial slurs, or hate speech, ect)

If you had a 14 day ban in the past 3 months, then perma would be the result of another punishment.

tier 1 - 10 day chat ban tier 2 - 25 day chat ban tier 3 - 14 day full ban tier 4 - perma

Permanent bans are usually only given after you've had previous punishments, like a chat restriction or two week ban. The purpose of those punishments is to warn you that your behavior isn't acceptable in the game, and that if you don't stop getting reported you will be banned. You didn't stop being negative though, so your account was banned. If you choose to make another account, try to keep negativity out of chat. Even if you feel really angry and don't want to play anymore, you need to keep those negative thoughts to yourself and only use chat to try to win the game/be sportsmanlike.

Easy way to figure out:

  1. Did you get permabanned? Yes: You deserved it. No: You're lying, you did. You deserved it.
