Should You Report Even If You Aren't Involved In A 1 On 1 Dispute?
It seems like common sense to report someone who deserves it regardless of a person's involvement in whatever that report-deserving player did, but all too often I see people get off without even a chat restriction. Almost 1 in 5 games I see myself or a teammate who isn't doing well get flamed unnecessarily, and it's usually by another player who isn't doing so hot themselves. But there's a difference between being upset and going out of your way to bring someone else down, especially when it's 1 on 1 targeting. Therefore I remind and urge people to take that extra 5 seconds after a game to report those people with tendencies to lash out bully when they're upset, or even when they're not. They don't deserve a ban, but a chat restriction would definitely help to stop them from bringing people down.
Note I don't mean the people who just get upset and salty and are generally... well, salty and tiltable. I don't mean to say not to report those players, but this post is about the 1 on 1 bullying scenarios. I know I seem like a middle school PSA about cyber bullying, but it happens all too often and I've seen players get off without any sort of restriction or punishment after they've completely ruined someone's game and possibly day all because people just don't care to report the player.
