Trolls In Champ Select

I don't complain about a lot of things, but I feel that I have to express my opinion on this.

Riot, please fix your champ select where the trolls have more power in the champ select.

I am honestly sick to death of having trolls who are easily able to lock in or threaten to lock in something stupid, lock in and steal your lane, or threaten to int.

Then what happens?

Then there is two options:

  1. Dodge the champ select, getting a time penalty while the troll gets off scot-free.

OR

  1. Play the game and get a free lose as the troll ints, feeds, or builds 6xitem 3070 and AFKs in base.

Then, after the miserable loss, you can turn to the report system that never gets the trollers reported.

Riot, please fix this ridiculous system.

(P.S when I said lock in something stupid i meant Urgot kappa)

I mean just playing a certain champion doesn't automatically make you a troll. There us a thing called off meta picks. just because someone is playing Urgot doesn't mean they are going to feed.

But you don't seem to understand how the report system works. It does suck in that these people need evidence that they are breaking the rules. But they have never ban someone for just one game. It needs to be consistent. Granted there are some obvious cases, butbwe dintnhave the tech to sort these out before they actually done something wrong.

If you want to help keep reporting these people that's how the system learn, you assuming the system doesn't work because the people you report aren't automatically punish is just wishful thinking. Plus you never know if they have been punished because you'll only get the notification if your report was the final one to punish them. So for all you know they could have been ban the next game, or someone else in your match reported that same person and because their report would have been the final one they ended up with the notification and notnyou!

my last game played before i got perma banned was where i had to pick ryze top vs sion because my team wanted to pick an all AD comp and one person said "fuck it all ad :P" and i was forced to pick an ap top and i didnt do well so i was false flagged for inting and toxicity which led to a perma ban. so because i was already in hot water with rito, people in champ select got me perma banned.

There are a couple of things to be addressed here...

1, if this is blind pick you're talking about, stealing your lane is sadly probably not going to be looked at. There are obstacles where one person will enter chat late, type "adc" and not see that someone else already called it- you get the idea.

2, as long as someone technically fulfills their role, you cant report them. Example, a game yesterday thought it would be fun to do all 5 ADC (this was in draft mode too) and at first i didnt really care. I started to care when the jg didnt take smite, and my support didnt take a sup item and instead stole half my cs. Point here is if the jg took smite and tried, and the sup took a sup item and did not try to steal cs, not really a lot you can do but hope that they know the champ they're playing.

3, don't auto-assume Urgot is bad just because he is underplayed. Every champion has players that have mastered them, and I'm willing to bet an Urgot master will make your head spin. Know that SoloQ doesnt really have a meta, it is simply soloQ.

#TL, DR: 1, If you play blind, reporting for lane stealing is pointless. 2, As long as jg takes smite and the sup takes their sup item, cant report them for trolling the game (unless they're obvi feeding or w/e). Lastly, you cannot report someone for locking in a champ you deem unworthy, thats childish and selfish.

Ill add one more thing here, YOU CAN NOT REPORT SOMEONE IF THEY DO NOT WANT TO FF WITH YOU. Just a side note for trigger-happy reporters.

#I know i focused on reporting but I assume you report what you ID as a troll, so I thought this might be helpful.

There's only one solution

Don't feed the flames, and screen shot and report. Tell them that you screen shot the conversation and that you will report.

They do need to address this problem though. But you shouldn't get mad because someone picks an off meta champ.
