What does it mean exactly when you get the "player was punished" message
Does it mean chat banned, suspended or permabanned or just any of them. If it is any of them, could it be notified which one for the future?

Why does it matter? They were punished... you really need a pound of flesh too?
I think it's just a general "They've been punished," so it could be any of the many different punishments. Riot has a bit of a policy behind not revealing the punishments given to players, for both privacy and humility sake.
