Negativity Initiative Needed. We need to be able to impact bad player LP.

We have the honor initiative. Great. But we have nothing in place to impact players who flame the team for the 20-40 minutes you have to play with them.

We need a Negativity Initiative that allows team mates to impact a players LP from the match. Give the 4 team mates the ability to control 1/4 of their team mates LP from the match if they vote them as being negative. if you have a flamer you give 4/4 votes against them, they win but get nothing. Period.

So my feedback form this thread is to mute have no communication with team and hope you win and possibly support bad behavior by leading them to a win. It's essentially what we have in society turning a blind eye to crime or our equivalent, negativity. Its sad to me that we are continually learning to ignore problems and assuming someone else will solve them down the road.

I have to believe there are more fair minded idividuals in league than that. but it would stop people from verbally retaliating or leaving because of the. IE why flammers and their teammates lose more often.

Doubt it. It would more likely encourage people to gang up on a single individual in chat if they played poorly.

Laughing Fish has this one 100% correct. Riot is pretty opposed to giving players the ability to use in-game functionality to blame or punish teammates without oversight. This is why reports are no longer weighted, for example. Additionally, players would simply end up using this to punish people for having a bad game or not playing the way they wanted, possibly even as an in-game threat. While in an ideal world where players only used it against flamers or intentional feeders it might work, the fact of the matter is it gives players a tool to simply bully, threaten, or doubly punish the worst player on their team, or anyone they happen to dislike.

All i know is i was punished within minutes for being attacked verbally by 2 team mates and not taking it. and then all i was left to get feed back from was a bot.

My suspicion then is that your account was already close to a punishment, and your retaliation took a form that was more toxic than you intended.

You may be right but i have a zero tolerance policy for assholes in my life. and I dot believe my actions were not worth punishment but they were equal to the abuse and negativity that was put on me. The difference being that the assholes (2) that started it know how to utilize and abuse the reporting system far better than a 30 something that is just trying to enjoy some down time.

That's fine, but League's rules are under no obligation to comply with your personal stance on treating assholes. I know that's a bit blunt, but if your desire to punish assholes extends to causing issues for innocent players, you're not really on any higher a moral ground.

Then they are likely abusive and negative themselves, and that is, quite simply, not okay as per League's behavioral rules. Again, you may not personally agree, but League will not make an exemption to the rules of respectful behavior just because someone else violated them first.

Im in full admission that my actions were not OK but the fact the lense was not even turned the other way before i was suspended for 14 games is the problem.

It's more a case of "don't stoop to their level yourself, and don't punish innocent players because of a few assholes. Instead, play the game, support your team, and report them along to the proper authorities, because the report system has a high success rate at catching and punishing people who behave poorly in chat."

I t sounds like more of a damned if i do damned if i dont. If i speak out against them and give them their own medicine. IF i mute and win with them i vex myself by supporting their behavior. if i leave i leaver busted so Im effectively fucked by a system that supports shitheads for being shit heads.

No. Players should not be allowed to exclude someone from their team from the LP gain in a win. That - even with a 4/4 vote - would be far too abuse-able.

if you mute players you dont have a leg to stand on as far as a report because u can then offfer no evidence. riots client does nothing to help those being attacked or bullied by others and then reported for retaliating but to punish the victims of being bullied and supporting the bullying of the others.

If you muted someone, it's after they said something reportable, and just because you muted someone, doesn't mean you don't have evidence, it doesn't erase the fact the person is typing.

Also i never said anything about muting, what i said was "Do you actually think flaming people back because they are flaming you actually solves anything"

Riot gives you no options. If you remove yourself form the situation you are also penalized. you cannot stand up for your self you can not remove yourself from the situation. there needs to be a leave with report option. enough games get broke up for good reason and people will get tired of being shit heads.

Yes, they do. Mute. It comes in three flavors - Pings, Chat, and Emotes. Pick what you want - all three if you need.

If you remove yourself form the situation you are also penalized.

Well, duh. You're not allowed to leave matches in progress. You signed on to play each match 'til a nexus explodes.

you cannot stand up for your self you can not remove yourself from the situation.

Standing up for oneself requires as much as a "no" or a similar dismissive statement, and as little as using the mute feature and giving no attention to the flamers/trolls who so desperately want it.
