Does the reporting system work?

I have reported several people after a match that were so vulgar, hateful, homophobic and racist that they should never be allowed to see sunlight, let alone be able to play League. And I have never once received a message saying they had been banned and thanks for helping. This doesn't make sense to me. If it has been put in place to be able to report people for such actions why are they not being banned? Or does the message saying they were banned not get sent to the people who have reported them? I just want a system to work, when someone is so far out of hand that I report them and I tell them I'm reporting them, they laugh because it's a joke to them, if they never get banned then what is the point?

Well, if more people like you put more effort into reporting those bastards, they would be banned soon.

You only get the pop up notification if your report was among the last to trigger a disciplinary action by Riot. Just keep reporting these people and they'll be weeded out. Read this forum any day to see them begging for their accounts back.

If you want to know whether the reporting system work, look no further than "Player Behavior & Moderation."

See how many people with thread like:

*I played with oversensitive kids, I don't deserve ban

*I was afk, I don't deserve ban

*I didn't use hack, I don't deserve ban

You only receive that in game notification if your report is among the last and used by Riot to take disciplinary action against a player. I have received three of those messages within a two week span this season, but never saw one in the prior two seasons I've been playing.

That being said, your reports - IF GENUINE - do work as intended and the offenders are being dealt with every single day. The justice you're seeking on an individual likely won't happen as swift as you want it to, but their day of reckoning will come. Just read the forums here daily for evidence of that.

yes I just got permabanned for my first punishment I'd say it works a little too well
