At first, I was proud to reach Platinum V. But now ...

Now I wanna go back down. I want my elo back to Silver, or even bronze. It felt way better by there.

It's not a matter of skill level here, actually, I am aware that climbing the ladder is about facing better opponents, so that you get better yourself, and deserve your rank (this is only theory tho.)

What pisses me off is how most players above Plat behave like dick-holes. Losing lane ? -> Fucking bronze jungler who can't watch the map Failing gank ? -> Fucking feeder lane, top is fed now, ggwp I troll Losing game ? -> ... whatever. thrashtalk. Playing a normal game ? -> thrashtalk. Thrasktalk, thrashtalk and again thrashtalk, which sounds like "Im plat you shitty piece of silver, l2p" or "nice eloboost asshole, you belong to wood division" in most scenarios.

Also, I'm wondering ... how do people become so overconfident about their skill level when they reach plat ? Is there some kind of magical rune of douchebaggery that automatically unlocks at this point, and makes you think you're the god of all gods ?!

Jokes apart. Riot more severe with trashtalk ? -> ROFL Matchmaking ever got updated ? -> LMAO Platinum players are not that good ? -> go tell'em, they'll flame you just so hard that you'll miss your mother's presence, FOR REAL.

TL;DR I'm now tied between going back to casual play, and take this game the easy way (if that's even possible) Or I can carry on further and become an asshole myself.

Because if you reached plat: YOU HAVE TO BE A FRIGGIN ASSHOLE KID. PERIOD. PS: I'm talking about NORMAL games. Because fuck yeah, there's way more thrashtalk in normals than rankeds. Deal with it ;____;

I have accounts in silver, gold & plat atm, and personally enjoy playing in plat the most simply because people seem to be a little more patient in their play in plat (ie if you ask your team not to fight so you can push out one of the lanes real quick, they generally listen because they know a 4v5 teamfight will likely go poorly missing their ADC or top laner etc - doing these things in gold/silver is a crap shoot I find and people will often engage then blame you for never being with your team for a teamfight after they lose the fight :p).

As far as toxicity goes, I don't really notice a difference. Unfortunately, I'd say 2 of every 3 games I play has somebody worth reporting, whether it is on my team or the opposing team, which is unfortunate.

Last week I was actually getting a little frustrated on one of my accounts that I'm trying to climb with right now. I just recently made it and had been climbing rather well, then had a number of games in a row with a number of rather toxic teammates and had a few losses in a row. Some of the losses were definitely my fault though, and overall I was starting to feel a little frustrated.

I ended up switching accounts and just playing some normals, taking it easier, and it really helped my mindset and made going back to ranked a lot easier (even though nothing technically changed, same players, etc). So maybe that would work for you, taking 5 or 10 games and just play some normals, focus on just enjoying the game, and bring that mentality back to ranked. It might help.

I remember hearing someone say that plat-V is the worse in terms of attitude, cos they think they are the king of the world as they got out of gold and should be pro. But truth is that high Gold / low Plat are all the same in terms of skill.

When you are up to Plat 2 or so, that's when it gets better in terms of attitude.

Yeap... you're still gold till you get outta division 5 imo. Three things suck. Division 5's suck and being in Division 2 and 1 sucks, because you get stuck with all of the division 5's in the next tier that just get stuck there because they can't climb. I cannot believe the amount of people that complain about attitude though when they're gold+. I've been playing the game for 6 years on and off. I'm plat 2 now and I know and appreciate that there is less shit talk and more teamwork the more you climb. Very VERY rarely do we lose a game because of one person sucking. Now if I lose a game it's usually based off of teamwork failing. I miss being silver and gold where you could still solo carry a game because people didn't know how to deal with you if you were fed. Now... you actually have to rely on teammates and if you aren't ready to climb.. Then you aren't going to. If you see people in game being asshats I tell them to humble up or they're going to be stuck here forever. I went on my smurf the other day 10000000000x worse as far as attitude.
