After my 14 day ban I'm just going to become unresponsive in chat ingame because anything I saw can be deemed toxic and you never take into account the provocations from other people. That's just great. Your ban system encourages people not to talk. Thank you for the time off maybe I'll never come back to this game.
Doesn't that make the system work? If I understand correctly, you plan to move from being toxic to being neutral (not talking in chat is being neutral). That proves the system improve your status after punishing you.
Personally, I prefer to have a neutral teammate who says nothing in chat than one spewing toxic craps, provoked or not.
If you're unable to understand what is or is not acceptable behavior yes, Riot would prefer you just say nothing at all.

Yeah, no. Your inability to recognise when you are being a jerk doesn't mean that it is hard not to be one. It just means that you have massive problems in that regard, that dont transfer to the vast majority of hte players.

Yeah, damn right. I dont care why you are flaming in my games, there is no situation where flaming improves anything in the game. It only distracts the involved players, and makes it harder for everyone else to communicate. Get some self-control, seriously.

It encourages people to stop flaming - and in the case of people such as yourself, who are unable to see the difference between normal chat and flame, it does the only thing left to do - kick them out or make them shut up. Again, just becasue you cannot behave properly, doesn't mean the system is bad - it is you. Just you.

System working as intended. You not typing is just as good as being positive. The system is doing its exact job and improving. Especially if it got you acknowledging words do have consequences.
Actually, their system encourages players to not game. If for you it's impossible to use chat without flaming, that's your problem, not Riot's.
If you lack the self control to mute others and not get into a flame war, that is your problem, not Riot's. If your solution to the problem is to avoid it instead of fixing the underlying cause (lack of self control), so be it.
