Moved from BR to NA, account gets locked, emailed riot, they just reply Sorry!

I'm sure this topic has been talked about SOOOO many times throughout League's history, but I feel like this is actually unacceptable. My hope is that someone on Riot's support team will look at this and at least understand how unfair their "account recovery" system is.

First off, I created my account back in Brazil in 2014. I don't remember what month/date I registered and the email with 'welcome to league!' email has been long deleted since it's been so long. I've never had any problems with riot until I moved the NA like two weeks ago.

I'm now living with my friends in NA and I changed my server from BR to NA. I played for like a week and achieved Gold 4, and then when I log in the next day to try to reach plat, it says that the account has been locked due to suspicious activity. Honestly, I was annoyed.

Keep in mind that I've never shared the account with ANYONE in my life, and I was the ONLY owner and the original creator of the account.

So, I go to recover my account since that's the only way to get my account back. I provide as much information that I know is TRUE, such as refunds I spent, first 6300 champ, etc. I get a reply a few days later saying that they don't have enough information verify that I'm the account owner (even info such as which was my first legendary skin [i have like 24 on the account] my first ultimate skin, my first mythic skin, etc] , and they ask me to fill out the rest of the questions, even if I need to guess. And so I do, and I get a reply the next day saying that my information doesn't match.

Of course some of it won't match! I started league 5 years ago, and I have plenty of smurf accounts that I've made periodically to play with lower elo friends back in brazil, so I wouldn't remember the exact details! (first 3150 champ, 4800 champ, first skin I ever got, all my refunds, who i gifted, who i received a gift from etc) I took my best guess and I gave my answers, and they just said sorry and closed the ticket.

I want the Riot Support team's honest opinion. Do you think that it's logical to ask questions such as: what was your first 5 champions purchased on this account? What was the first skin you bought with RP? What was your first 3150 champ 4800 champ 6200 champ? How are players supposed to remember this? I own all 140 something champs at this point and have mastery 7 on like 40 champs. In addition, is this REALLY the only way Riot can 'confirm' that you're the 'account creator'? What are you going to do if the player has like memory loss due to a fatal accident or something? Just take away an account that's precious to them, just because they don't remember tedious information? Why doesn't riot have a system that is reliable in confirming that someone is the account creator? They never tell us to 'remember' what our first 5 champions were, or such! If I knew that this was going to happen one day, I would have written everything all down if they told me that this information was vital! I've personally invested 5 years of my life into the account and a LOT of money into the account, just to have it banned due to 'suspicious activity'. I don't think it's really fair to decide whether someone is the account creator or not based on unreliable memory.

Today, I've done EVERYTHING that I can, and provided every single date that I purchased RP (including my very first RP purchase) and every single ticket I've submitted to riot (and the topic of the tickets), and provided information such as which packages I bought for RP, what types of champ I've played since starting league, etc.

To be honest, I don't think I'm going to get anywhere as I'm seeing posts like this: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/general-discussion/AsdqrxU2-i-thought-one-of-my-accounts-got-hacked-riot-supports-response-is-to-ban-my-main-and-my-backup

The only thing going for me is that I have the receipts for purchases back in 2016 when i first started buying RP.

please riot, HELP I'M ABOUT TO RIP MY HAIR OUT TRYING TO REMEMBER SOMETHING. I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING INSANE

I'll update the post if I ever get anywhere.

EDIT: I FINALLY GOT THE ACCOUNT UNLOCKED!! After submitting 3 tickets, One into account recovery, one into account details or something, then a final one into general league of legends questions live chat.

It seems the first person to reply to me (account recovery) just was cranky or something, and just refused to unlock my account despite me providing EVERYTHING i could.

The second one hasn't been replied to as i submitted it like 2 hours ago.

The live chat, I was redirected to an account recovery person, and they asked me a couple of easy questions that are not solely based off of memory.

What emails have been affiliated with this account ( in order if possible) Have you received any gifts, if so to whom and from whom? (i forgot the usernames but correctly remembered the skin names) What payment methods have you used in order to buy RP? Do you have a transaction ID? (I provided one from 2016)

after that, they unlocked my account.

Here's a tip: if you aren't the account owner, DONT BOTHER. Even as the original account creator, I had to go through so many trials and tribulations in order to get the account.

Hope this helped! case closed- 6/19/19

I need to do some research and write all that shit down in case my account ever gets hacked. The only thing I remember about it really, is the very first champ I played. I dont think I could even give the exact YEAR, let alone month. 2014? Maybe 2013? Maybe 2015? Could be either. Thats rough.

I feel like some of the questions are probably easier for hackers to access than the actual players and don't make sense, for the following reason;

  1. If you're a good hacker, why would you bother contacting Riot instead of just hashing the password from their database? (I don't know shit about computers or hacking, so I don't want to make any statements, this is just a guess.)

  2. It seems to me that all the hard questions involve actions that would leave some digital footprints. Wouldn't a hacker have better access to that info instead of the original owner's memory?

  3. Why the fuck would anyone memorize the first five champs they've bought?

  4. "What was the newest skin and/or champion released when you started to play? (List of Champs)" how and why would we remember this?

  5. "If you have received or sent gifts, please tell me what it was and who sent it or received it:" If your account is several seasons old and you have friends, there is no way of remembering this.

If I could get a reply from anyone who has actually had their account recovered, it would be amazing. So far, none of the posts with this topic have a happy ending, or they just end at a certain point with no end point :p

Or, just any humble opinions, or helpful comments would be really nice :)

No, you do not need all that information. You don't even need most of it.

They use the information you provide, even if it's slightly off (but still close), to make a determination, in addition to their own data that would indicate potential account selling, transfer, etc.

It's not hard to get an account recovered if you're the true owner, period. Either you aren't trying hard enough to remember things or aren't providing information that you do know, even if it's only "approximate" or not exact.
