Its amazing to see how easily a 4 or 5 year old account gets banned in this game. My last game, after 5 years of playing LOL, was with a GP who took literally 15 minutes to load into the game and proceeded to make my jungle a living hell. He Literally refused to leash, refused to go in on ganks, trolled the entire time, purposefully stole my jg, etc etc. Did I get mad?

Of course I got mad. I tried to gank other lanes, even tried to stop talking shit, but nevertheless, HE persisted. Halfway through the match, he starts following me and last hitting my jg.

Im not gonna lie- you look at the chat logs and youll see me talking shit. What You dont see is his refusal to leash, act in ganks, stealing my jg, etc. So now im banned due to the chatlogs. Honestly, Its not that I REALLY cared about this game, but it was a fun way to pass the time, and its sad to see how far its fallen. Over the last couple months, its felt like people are being paid to destroy player experiences...its legitamately gotten that bad. Its not just me saying that either- my roommate has had the EXACT same experience.

His account (3000+ games) got banned for similar reasons. He made a new one and has had a comedically bad time with matchmaking. Hes almost level 30, and id say 4/5 games are either remakes or somehow involve afkers.

Its been fun.

That's exactly the point.

You are in control of your own actions, and as such, it does not matter what anyone else does, only what you do.

If you break the rules, you face the consequences.

Yeah... thats the reason half this community is gone. Instead of fixing issues in the game that have persisted for YEARS, Riot just bans people who react to them.

Great business model. Great way to keep long term customers!

Btw: my roommate was banned for calling someone who ADMITTEDLY Inted 12 times a "fuckin moron" and my roommate was the one who was banned. Not the one running down mid lane for 20 minutes. Two people with over a decade of LoL experience and multiple purchases banned for reacting to trolls. GG Riot.

Yeah yeah, lol is dying. Do you have anythign to back up your statement that the community is in such a strong decline? Or are you just lashing out at LoL, now that you are banned.

Getting banned is **not **easy. You eitehr need hatespeech, scripts/boosts or bad behaviour over a very long period of time. Just don't flame regularly or do the other shit( which really is not a big deal) and you will never even see a CR. You clearly failed at this, and thus you are not the kind of customer Riot wants to keep. The punishment is nott intended to keep you, but to get rid of you, due to your toxic behaviour. Good riddance.

Your attempt at sarcasm failed. That's actually great as it removes negative/toxic people from the game. Inters are harder to detect than chat-abusers. For example:

Now from Riot's PoV, it's harder to detect malicious intent coming from those actions. On the other hand:

Easier to detect. He didn't get a ban, he got a punishment. Reason why he got a ban is because he came off a 25-game chat restriction or said more than "fucking moron". Something like invitation to self harm or slurs.

Internet 101: don't reply to trolls.

I think Riot has statistics that say otherwise, hence why they're still actively hiring and haven't stopped for a long time while having a relatively low turnover... and other things...

The community is stronger than ever. The community (which is stronger than ever) almost unanimously wants players who are toxic, for any reason, to be kicked out of the community.

Why bother opening your mouth in the first place? What purpose does it serve? You're not defending yourself from anything, otherwise you'd be attempting to prevent some action another person is taking.

What you and your roommate did is called retaliation. The goal with retaliation is to harm someone else as they have harmed you, and it makes you just as bad as the person who harmed you in the first place. You lower yourself to their level and you pay the same price they do. Don't blame anyone other than yourself. I'd recommend not having temper tantrums over asshole players when you start your next account.

Hold on...how was he supposed to leash you if he didn't connect until 15 minutes? Unless you mean in loading screen.

Also, mute the guy. A lot of jungler streams/videos that I watch mention this extensively. If they're flaming you for no reason, mute them and ignore them. Not coming when you gank? Don't gank.
