Inting/AFKing should be worse than typing

Now, I'm not exactly the nicest player all the time. Sometimes when people grief me or type shit to me I can't control myself and type back. And that is 100% deserved. I get that. But, how in the hell is typing so much more punishable than griefing? It makes no sense to me. You can just mute me and my typing, but I can't mute you and ruining my game. The same goes to AFKing. If you go 0/3 and then AFK, that's not lag, that is ragequitting. And you should be punished. Or if you specifically type something saying you are not trying, going to AFK, etc., then that should be a RED FLAG AND SHOULD BE PUNISHED. But no. If I flame a griefer, I am 100 times more likely to get punished than they are. And obviously flaming is bad. I'm not playing the victim here. But it needs to be looked further into, these things. People literally just admit they aren't trying and it does not matter. Almost always, nothing happens to them.

Edit: I also want to add that everybody knows that this is how it works. If you ever ask a streamer, they will 100% agree with you if you said that if you don't type, you can do anything you want and not get banned. This is a widely known thing that people abuse and it's ridiculous.

Inting/Griefing is punished worse. Gameplay offenses start with a 14 day ban. The only time a verbal starts there is when someone uses zero tolerance.

Verbal is punished MORE often because it is easier to detect.

We could use something to help identify malicious AFK, but I understand that isn't easy.

INT = to running it down mid

not having a bad game there is a big difference but people seem to think they are one in the same

Because one is readily identifiable and the other is not always as apparent.

Someone can go 0/16 and be genuinely underperforming on purpose, but won't get picked up by the system because they're hiding it well.

The IFS is definitely not perfect, nobody has ever claimed as much. But eventually, everyone will get caught at one point or another and the majority of egregious cases are handled quickly.

Chat punishments are more common because it's (usually) as simple as "Did this person say x, y, z, or act in this manner?" There aren't as many variables as gameplay punishments.

You can just mute me and my typing, but I can't mute you and ruining my game.

Riot themselves have stated multiple times that a mute button is not an excuse to break the rules. We're on their platform, just because someone else can ignore what you're saying doesn't mean you're not saying it.

This is 100% false.

Here's an example of it being false.

Here's another.

Here, have one more.

This too.

This is 100% accurate. I frequently leave games because I get so angry with this game that my head hurts and I need to take a break. Honestly I was gonna quit playing this game once my main account got banned but that hasn't happened yet. I've even left games early on and it still doesn't count as a leave. I still get experience, mastery, etc. It baffles me how awful this system is. I'm literally TRYING TO GET PUNISHED and I can't. I mean sure, I could just use some racial slurs to get banned, but I'm not that type of person.

I don't like real-life analogies, but this is the best I can think of.

There are more citations for running red lights than there are convictions for murder because the running of red lights happens way more frequently.

However, when murder convictions DO happen, the punishments are more severe.

As Imperial Pandaa said, punishments for intentional feeding (or other griefing), when that's what actually happened and it is detected start at a 14-day suspension.

I played 3 games yesterday on this account, lost 2 because both had an afk, the cati and tris, I think leaving the game without a legitimate reason "like internet problems or lights go out or pc failure" should get a ban, especially if repeated many times

It won’t ever be because riot just wants to create a toxic community
